By using the NIRF methodology the university list will be put up on basis of certain approved set of parameters. Every year in the month of April NIRF will set to declare India Rankings by the President of India. Relying on various areas of operations there are independent rankings for different types of institutions. The universities will be ranked in order based on their scores. Depending on the type of institution the weightages are based. There are sub-head and to measure the performance score of each an attempt is made to recognise relevant data.
There is several eligibility criteria’s too first of all the overall rank will be given based on individual discipline or nature. If the university desires to participate in the specified discipline ranking list, separately they have to register and provide additional data. Affiliated universities or Open universities will not be considered for ranking. In the cases of these universities having their own research campus or teaching of their own will be invited to participate.
