Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Courses Admission

The TNAU admission process involves an online application form filling, appearing for the entrance exam and document verification. In addition, candidates must submit proof of eligibility, such as a mark list. Before applying for admission, students must make sure of the eligibility criteria. All the courses offered by TNAU have separate eligibility and selection criteria.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University UG Admission

  • Under the UG discipline, the courses, namely B.Tech and B.Sc, are offered.
  • The aspirants seeking admission into the TNAU UG Courses must be 10+2 pass out with a minimum of 50%.
  • For admission into the TNAU B.Tech course, the candidate must have a combination of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology OR Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science from a recognized board or its equivalent.
  • The selection procedure is 10+2 merit, followed by TNAU Counselling.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University PG Admission

  • The University offers MBA, M.Tech and M.Sc courses under the Postgraduate discipline.
  • The basic eligibility criteria are to have a graduation from any of the recognized universities with a CGPA of 6.6 out of 10 (6.50 for reserved category students)

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Scholarships

The University provides various scholarships to worthy and deserving students. Some of the Scholarships provided are:

  • Fee Waiver Scheme: The scholarship is provided to economically poor but deserving students.
  • Education Loans: Education loans are available to needy and deserving students from Nationalized Banks at reasonable interest rates. These loans can be repaid after the completion of the degree/ diploma.
  • Relaxation in tuition fee:  This is given to the position holders in the qualifying examinations/ competitive examinations and position holders in the University examinations.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Application Process

TNAU application forms will be available online. The detailed processes for both the UG and PG courses are mentioned below.

  • Visit the official website of the University.
  • Click "New Registration" to open the TNAU Online registration form will display.
  • Fill in the form correctly. A user ID and password will be generated and sent to your registered email and mobile phone.
  • Click on the "Proceed to Application" button. Then, complete the application form.
  • The TNAU application fee for general category students is INR 600 (INR 300 for SC/ST/SCA candidates), to be paid to the University through a payment gateway in the form of debit/credit/net banking.
  • To download and print the Joint Declaration Form and Attachments / Checklist, you can log in again using your username and password.

Library: The University Library maintains a total collection of more than two million documents containing books, theses, journals and compact discs in agricultural science. All internal operations at the library are fully automated using Koha software, which provides web-based access to the library's online catalogue. The benefit of the Consortium's e-resources subscription is limited to its core members and also extended to all constituent colleges, research stations and KVKs through remote access.
