The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission into MBA/PGDM. The IIMs administer it each year as a management aptitude test on a rotational basis. CAT 2025 Exam Schedule

CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are willing to appear for the CAT Exam in 2025 must make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility requirements.

  • Academic Qualification: A student has to complete their graduation (Bachelor's degree) in any stream from a UGC or other recognized university with at least 50% marks in that degree. The minimum mark for applicants in the SC, ST, or PwD category is 45%.
  • Final Year Students: Students who have not yet completed their graduation are also eligible to apply for CAT 2025 as long as they provide an attested certificate from their college or university confirming they are in their final year and that they will graduate as per their course duration time.
  • Age limit: There is no upper age limit to sit for the CAT.
  • Recognized Degree: The degree must be recognized by either UGC or the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

CAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The CAT 2025 exam pattern aims to assess a student's proficiency in English, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning. Moreover, the CAT is an online-based exam (CBT). It consists of 3 sessions held on the same day. The duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes). CAT consists of three sections and each section of the exam will consist of 40 minutes. You must finish one section in order to continue to move to the next section. That means one cannot switch between the sections while attempting the CAT exam.

In CAT 2024, there were 68 questions, and we can expect CAT 2025 will have the same number of questions or 66. The total possible marks will probably be around 204. The three sections of CAT 2025 are:
