The Banasthali Vidyapith is a fully residential institution of higher learning for women. It offers courses in Secondary, Senior Secondary, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate degree levels. It was founded in 1935 by well-known freedom fighters and educationists such as Hiralal Shastri and Ratan Shastri. The institution was stated as a 'Deemed University status in 1983. In contrast, NAAC re-accredited Banasthali University at the highest 'Grade A'  in 2011.

Furthermore, the Review Committee of the Ministry of HRD also esteemed the overall efforts of Vidyapith in the extent of Academic Achievements, Research, Student Progression, Infrastructure, etc. The University is featured in NIRF, QS I Gauge, and Times Higher Education rankings.

Banasthali University Courses Admissions

Several Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral Programs are available through numerous Departments. Admission is offered on Merit obtained in the qualifying examination; however, a university-level aptitude test is also administered for some courses. The application form, several supporting documents, and the application fee must be submitted by candidates (non-refundable). Therefore, it is also important for the applicants to register for Banasthali University Aptitude Test.

• All students admitted to the University must reside in one of the institution's hostels, except students who are nearby hamlet within a 25-kilometre radius.
• Each applicant for admission to the courses must submit the relevant application form by the Banasthali University admission last date.
• Students applying for UG courses shall have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Meanwhile, for PG courses, they shall have a bachelor's degree of at least 55%.
• Candidates for Banasthali University B.Tech admission must have completed their 10+2 in the Science stream from an accredited board with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
• Banasthali University B.Ed admission is based on the student's scores obtained in the aptitude test.
• Candidates for the MBA degree must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The selection is based on the aptitude test.

Banasthali University Application Form Filling Process

The aptitude exam, which the institute administers, must be taken by the candidates. Applicants can apply for admission both offline and online.

• Applicants can obtain an online application form by paying INR 800 in cash at the college office or on the college website.
• Complete the application form with the necessary information.
• Send the form and payment to the Secretary of the Banasthali Vidyapith at PO BANASTHALI VIDYAPITH-304022, or send a DD for INR 800 made out to "Banasthali Vidyapith" payable at Banasthali/Jaipur (Rajasthan).

The students are offered a variety of merit-based scholarships, such as:

• At the senior secondary certificate test for the Arts, Science, and Home Science group (Full Course) at Vidyapith, the top two students will each receive INR 5,000.
• The Vidyapith awarded INR 10,000 to the students who scored first and second in the B.A., B.Sc., B.C.A., BBA, and B.Sc. Home Science exams.

Banasthali University Infrastructure & Facilities

In the area of women's education, Banasthali University has been a trailblazing institution since 1935. The University's 850-acre campus is home to numerous buildings of various sizes and shapes that house various academic and administrative entities. The campus has been substantially divided into the university division, school division, and residential blocks to provide for the basic needs of its residents.

• Library - Using several channels, including a BSNL and VSNL leased line, the Central Library provides 8 Mbps Internet connectivity. The library uses LIBSYS, a complete Integrated Library Management software suite with all the modules required for library housekeeping activities. The library's online catalogue contains 13,500 back issues of periodicals and more than 1.60 lakh records of books.
• Sports - The University is furnished with first-rate athletic facilities. The Laxmi Bai Maidan hosts many events, including parades and yearly fairs. The Vidula Maidan includes facilities for large-scale physical performances and fields for sports like hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, yoga, and martial arts.
