Karunya University 2024: Admissions, Placements, Ranking

Karunya Institute of Technology and Science came into existence in 1986 as Engineering College. In 1994, it was declared a Minority Institution. Later in 2004, UGC granted Deemed To be University status. NBA Accredited KU with an "A" Grade. Karunya University Coimbatore offers the best infrastructural facilities and rich academic experience to educate and empower students. KU offers UG, PG, and Doctoral Courses in multiple disciplines. KU offers B Tech, BSc, B Com, and BA at the UG level. It offers MBA, M Tech, MSc, and MA at the PG level. UGC recognizes all the Karunya University Courses. Most of the Karunya University Engineering Courses have been accredited by the NBA. The ACCA UK has accredited Karunya MBA Courses. Admission is based on the entrance test and academic merit. KU will conduct its entrance test for offering admission to the B Tech, MBA, and BSc Agriculture. Candidates who wish to apply for BSc Agriculture or B Tech Admission have to appear for the Karunya University Entrance Exam. Admission to the other UG Courses will be based on academic merit in the last qualifying exam. Karunya MBA Admission is based on the Karunya Management aptitude Test scores. Applicants qualified in CAT or MAT are also eligible to fill out the Karunya University application form.

Karunya University Course Admission

Admission to Karunya University is based on the student's performance on the entrance test. For fewer courses, admission will be granted based on the academic marks obtained in the last qualifying exam. Furthermore, students must satisfy the eligibility criteria. The application process is online. Eligible & Interested applicants need to visit the official website of KU to fill out the forms.

• To be eligible for Karunya B Tech admission, candidates must have cleared 10+2 with a least 60% in the Science stream and shall have studied PCM as the main subject. The selection of the candidates will be based on the Karunya University Entrance Exam (KEE)
• Karunya entrance test will be conducted in April every year. The authority will announce KEE Exam dates officially on its website.
• KEE Application fees or Karunya Exam fees will be approx INR 1000 for Indian nationals. NRI and Foreign Nationals have to pay USD 250.
• Students who have completed their UG degree with a min of 50% are eligible to apply for Karunya MBA Admission.  MBA Admission seekers have to undertake the entrance test known as KMAT. (Karunya Management Aptitude Test)

Karunya University  Placement

KU offers the best assistance to the students in terms of placement. The Placement Percentage is 80%. The placement cell of KU administers the on-campus drive by inviting top recruiters. To date, Karunya University's Highest Package stood at INR 18 LPA. The average package of Karunya is 3.5 LPA.

Over 583 companies made 1332 job offers. More than 900 students were successfully placed with good packages. Over 387 students bagged multiple job offers. Some of the Top Recruiters who participated in the recruitment Drive are Amazon, TATA, Wipro, Sony, etc.

Karunya University Course-wise Placement

 Karunya University's CSE Placement rate was good among all the courses. The CSE department bagged more than 306 job offers. Karunya CSE's Highest Package is 18 LPA. The no of recruiters was 48.

Karunya MBA's Highest Package stood at INR 12 LPA. More than 45 recruiters provided 104 job offers during the 2021 drive.  

Karunya University Hostel Facility

Karunya offers a well-furnished hostel facility for both Male and Female students. In total, there are six hostel blocks. Two blocks are for boys, and the remaining four are for girls. All the hostel blocks are well-equipped with modern amenities.

• Both AC and Non AC Accommodations are available.
