North Eastern Hill University

The university located in Meghalaya state has a reputation of its kind. The university was established under the Act of Parliament and is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade and University Grants Commission (UGC).  The institute has set up a parameter to cater supreme quality education to its students in various fields.

• The NEHU University has set up 2 campuses catering to a world-class education through various UG, PG, and research-based programs.

• The university aims to prove the students' overall development by providing both theoretical study and practical education.
• The library has nearly 284510 reference books, 135 international journals, and 153 national journals to encourage the students.
• The university provides 12 hostels for boys, 10 for girls, and one for international students within the campus with required amenities.

The university covers 1025 acres of land and has basic facilities like a hostel, sports, auditorium, library, laboratory, cafeteria, and medical and computer labs. The students are provided with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Fellowship scholarships based on their marks in the entrance exam. The counseling and placement cell (CPC) assists the students in getting job opportunities in various national and international companies.
