Bharathiar University

The Bharathiar University is a state university in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It was established in February 1982 under the Bharathiar University Act, 1981 (Act 1 of 1982). The University Grants Commission recognizes the University. It has a large number of affiliated colleges. Its motto is "Educate to Elevate." The University's main objective is to give students access to education on par with international standards. It is done by imparting knowledge and skills to students, but it is also aimed at moulding them into better people committed to the needs of society and national development.

• The minimum eligibility for MBA in Bharathiar University is to have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in addition to the educational requirements outlined in the 10+2+3 model.

Bharathiar University Application Process

Applicants can apply either online or offline for admissions. Using the official university website, interested students can register themselves and pay the necessary fees using one of the payment options.

Offline application process

• Students can purchase the required application form in person from the university office for Rs. 300, which must be paid by demand draft from any nationalized bank or a Bank of India challan (into the general fund account of Bharathiar University).
• Demand Drafts (DDs) must be made payable in Coimbatore in favor of the Registrar of Bharathiar University and must be dated no sooner than April 17.
• SC/ST candidates must submit a certified photocopy of their community certificate along with their request for the application fee of Rs. 150.
• Together with the application form, the candidate must include a self-addressed envelope (28 x 13 cm) and a stamp worth Rs. 60.

Online application process

Visit the official university website and complete the registration process for a particular course. While applying online, candidates need to meet the following requirements:

• Valid email id.
• Passport size photograph soft copy.
• For candidates who are OC, BC, MBC, or DNT, the application fee is a demand draft of INR 300.
• On presentation of an attested photocopy of the community certificate, SC/ST candidates must submit a demand draft for INR 150 as their application fee.

Bharathiar University Scholarships

• Post-matric scholarship by govt. of Tamil Nadu (BC-MBC students/scholar students) - A minimum of 75% of their required attendance from the previous academic year should have been obtained. Parents' annual income should  not be more than INR 1 lakh.
• Higher education special loan scholarship - Applicants should be residing in the hostel at the University. The parents' combined annual income should not exceed INR 50,000.
• Government of Indian scholarship - Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 75% attendance in their most recent academic year. For SC and ST applicants with an annual income below INR 1,08,000, the parents' combined income must be less than INR 1,00,000.
