Completely on dependent with the participating institutions the accountability and responsibility of the data rests.
Under every parameter they have their own norms given below the TLR the board checks for student strength and faculty-student ratio. In research level a combined metric for department of faculty with PhD and experience. Those institutions graduated students at least in 3 batches in UG and PG programs will be considered for ranking.
Teaching institutions of under graduation level along with university affiliated degree colleges are invited to participate. If there is a single engineering discipline in the University of Engineering School with very fewer students then would not be eligible for ranking. By analysing the data NIRF will make the final decision on ranking of discipline.
