SRMJEEE - SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination

SRMJEEE happens to be a national level entrance examination which is conducted every year in the month of April. The exam is conducted with an eye to providing admission in undergraduate courses at the four campuses of Kattan Kulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram and NCR Ghaziabad. SRM University counts to be the official authority of this entrance test. Students can apply for the examination in October.

This entrance test grants admission to almost 7,000 undergraduate students. Candidates are offered admission to different B.Tech programs in accordance with their performance in SRMJEE test. It is recommended to have detailed information about the exam pattern of the entrance test. This will assist in providing better performance in the test. The question paper for the entrance test is Multiple Choice Questions. The question paper is divided into four parts.

There are 5 sections Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Aptitude and English in each section each question carries 1 mark. It is essential to fulfil the eligibility criteria for appearing in this entrance test. Candidates can fill the application form for entrance test offline as well as online. The payment for the application form can be done offline, online or via demand draft.

SRMJEEE 2021 Eligibility criteria

To not get the application form rejected aspirants need to know the SRMJEEE eligibility criteria before filling the application form. In order to appear for the exam it is mandatory for aspirants to fulfil the eligibility criteria of SRMJEEE. Applicants should stick to the certain eligibility criteria to seek SRM admissions.

  • Qualifying Examination: Applicants should be 12th passed or equivalent exam with minimum 60% as overall aggregate and at least 55% in PCB or PCM etc. keeping these as major subjects.
  • Nationality: Residents of India also NRI, OCI or PIO card holder issued by the govt. can apply and appear for SRMJEEE however, apart from India residents other who have not taken SRMJEE exam should apply under International Student Category.
  • Age: Aspirants applying for SRMJEEE should be minimum 17 years old at the time of applying and the maximum age to appear for the exam is 21 years.

Criteria for Direct Admission: Top rankers of JEE or IIT and state or central board of exam, national/international level sports person are eligible for SRM direct admissions.

SRMJEEE 2021 Application Form & fees

The foremost thing that every candidate has to do to proceed further with the admission is to fill the application form. After filling the application form only, aspirants will be able to get their admit card and will be eligible to appear for the exam. Aspirants have got two options to fill the application form that is online as well offline. Students are advised to fill the application form correctly and submit on time though corrections can be made after submitting the completed form. SRMJEEE application fee has to be paid online.

Steps to fill SRMJEEE application form online

Step 1: Registration

Go to official website and register by filling the details like name of the candidate, Email ID, DOB and phone number. To the registered email ID the user ID and password will be sent

Step 2: Login

Log in to the official portal of SRMJEEE using the received credentials to fill the SRMJEEE application form.

Step 3: Fill the application form

By selecting the preferred course, exam centre, campus, category and personal details of the candidate along with educational qualification fill the complete application form and click “NEXT” to proceed.

Step 4: Upload scanned documents

In this step candidates are asked to upload the photocopies of scanned educational certificates along with photograph and signature of the candidates.

Step 5: Application fee payment

The last step will be making the payment it can be done through online mode Debit/Credit or Net banking or demand draft in the favour of SRM University.

How to fill SRMJEEE application form offline?

Step 1: candidates will fill the application form by themselves as given in the 10th mark sheet with his/her name in capital letters. Also use only black ballpoint pen to shade the required region and provided boxes.

Step 2: Only the original copies of the documents has to be sent and should be taken utmost care while filling the application form because it is all machine processed.

Step 3: While choosing the universities as per student’s priorities one can choose one or more universities. If any cut or tear or scribble in the application form the application forms will be rejected so make sure the information given is correct and there are no cuts or tears.

Step 4: aspirants got to fill every detail and choose the right option that is mentioned and need to upload the passport size colour photographs and signature that is machine scanned. Also for further reference keep a copy of filled application form.

SRMJEEE 2021 Syllabus & Exam Pattern

  • SRMEEE question paper is divided of 5 sections – English, Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Physics and Chemistry sections are compulsory whereas, candidates can choose either Mathematics or Biology section according to student’s choice.

  • Candidates got to prepare sincerely to seek admissions for B.Tech in top engineering college

SRMJEEE 2021 Admit Card

It is of course mandatory to carry the admit card before entering the SRMJEE exam hall, only before the last date the admit card will be issued to the candidates. Admit card can only be downloaded online because there is no other source like post or other offline mode. To complete the admission process candidates will have to take part in SRM counselling process and it goes as

Counselling date: the counselling will start in the 2nd week of May

Rounds: The counselling will be held in 2 rounds online and offline

First round: Counselling 1st round will be held in the offline mode from 2nd to 3rd week of May

Call: based on the rank and score candidates will be called for counselling

Allotment: During the counselling, based on the rank and performance, allotment of seats and branch will take place

SRMJEEE 2021 Participating Colleges

SRMJEEE happens to be a national level engineering entrance test which will be conducted in April. The test offers admission to around 7,000 undergraduate students across different campuses. It is a must for the candidates to score an aggregate of 65% in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Colleges take rank and score for allocating the seat.

Candidates will opt for 3 preferred SRMJEE exam centre while filling the application form. May I know, when and how can I get Result?

Results announcement will be made in the month of May on the SRM University’s official website. The candidate will also be informed via SMS on the registered mobile number. 

 

Is it mandatory to write exam to get Btech admissions to SRM University?

Yes, it is mandatory for the candidates to write exam to get Btech admissions to SRM University.

  • University level exam for the admissions to Btech and MTech program at SRM University.
  • Candidates need to fill the online Application form till 31st March.
  • For the offline Application form, the last date is till 1st March.
  • Exam will be held from 16th April to 30th April 30 via online mode by SRM University. 

 

I wanted to know the Eligibility criteria for Btech admissions? 

Eligibility criteria for Btech Admissions:

  • Qualification criteria: The candidates should have qualified in 10th, 12th examination from recognized board for the eligibility.
  • Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology/Biotechnology.
  • Percentage Criteria: PCM subjects, 60% aggregate for Kattankulathur campus, 50% for Ramapuram and Vadapalani campuses, 70% for Amravati, 50% for Haryana.
  • Nationality: Aspirants who are Resident Indian and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) will have the SRMJEEE Eligibility. 

 

May I know, How to fill the Application form? 

  • The candidates need to visit the official website in order to register and fill the Application form.
  • They can fill the Application form by providing all the details via online mode.
  • They must upload the relevant documents such as Signature and Photograph.
  • Application form fee costs Rs 1100.

For Btech program, I wanted to know the details regarding Exam pattern?

Exam pattern details:

  • Exam will have 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Exam will be scheduled online via Computer based test.
  • Exam paper will be made available in English language.
  • Exam pattern, there will be total questions of 105. From each section, 35 questions will be asked.
  • Exam pattern, for each correct response, 3 marks will be provided.
  • Exam duration is of 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • There is no negative marking system.
