COMEDK UGET happens to be a state level entrance test which is managed by COMEDK or the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental of Karnataka. The exam is conducted with an eye to conferring admission into different UG courses in the areas of engineering, dental and medical. From the year of 2017, the entrance test will be conducted for providing admission into Architecture and engineering courses. viz. B.Arch and B.Tech. 

There are almost 187 participating institutes in the entrance examination which confer a sum total of 29 undergraduate UG courses. If you are willing to apply for the entrance test, you should fill the online Application form after registering online. It is a prerequisite that candidates should be fulfilling the eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test. Since it is not a must for the candidates to be a resident of Karnataka, students across the country are eligible for appearing for the exam.

After applying successfully for the entrance test, candidates can download the admit card after they are being released by the concerned authority. The entrance test is conducted in almost 151 cities across India. There are 60 multiple choice questions for each section in the question paper. 

The results of the entrance exam will be announced on the web. The counselling for the entrance test will be a single window counselling which will accomplish in two rounds. Candidates need to attend the counselling in person. It is a must for every candidate to register for taking part in seat allotment procedure.

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering ( BE/B.Tech)

It is essential to check the eligibility criteria prior to applying for the examination. It is not mandatory to be a resident of Karnataka for appearing in the entrance exam. Candidates seeking to the engineering courses should pass the higher secondary examination from a recognized board. Students should have scored a minimum aggregate score of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. To seek admission in architecture course, a candidate should have completed the 10+3 diploma course with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in PCM. Diploma candidates are not eligible to seek admission as there is no provision for lateral entry.

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 or 2nd PUC from any recognized university or Board in the country.
  •  Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and obtained a minimum aggregate score of 45% (40% for SC/STOBC candidates of Karnataka).
  • Physics and Mathematics should be the compulsory subjects along with any one of the following optional subjects- Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology
  •  An attempting the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank. 
  • Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there is no lateral entry admission.

For Architecture Courses:

  • Aspirants should have passed 12th or its equivalent examination from recognized board with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subject.
  • The candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in the pattern of 10+3 (diploma holders) with at least 50% aggregate marks (40% in respect to SC/ST/OBC) are also eligible to apply for architecture courses.
  • There will be no entrance test for admission to architecture courses. The admission is done on the basis of candidate’s score in NATA. To be eligible for admission, minimum marks of 80 out of 200 will be required.
  • Those looking for admission in B. Arch have to submit the separate application form.

COMEDK UGET Application Form & fees

Candidates require doing registration online prior to filling up the application form. Candidates need to impart their email ID and mobile number during registration. Candidates, desirous to appear at this screening test can get the application form on the website of the COMEDK from the 2nd week of February. The last day for filling the application form will be the last business day of the month of April 2019. After the successful registration, students will receive the User Id as well as a password to the registered email address. Students will require uploading their photographs and signature in a prescribed format.   

  • The  Application Form will be accessible online only through the official website.
  • The candidates will receive the User Id and password on their registered email ID and password after the successful registration. 
  • The candidates can choose online or offline mode for payment purpose. 
  • The application fee can be submitted through the debit/credit card or net banking or through the DD via DD in favour of “COMEDK” payable in Bangalore

For Medical or Engineering aspirants – 1200/-

  • For candidates opting for Online Payment, the option to select preferred test city will be available before submitting the form online, subject to availability.
  •  For candidates opting for Offline payment , the option to select preferred test city will be available only at the time of Challan upload after making payment at Axis Bank.

COMEDK UGET Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The syllabus for the test resembles the standard of the syllabus of the higher secondary examination, observed by any recognized boards in India. It covers various topics related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.  

  • The examination  will be asked in English medium only and contains the questions of objective type. 
  • The syllabus of the entrance test is based on 12th/2nd PUC. 
  • The students are provided with one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answer. 
  • The time duration of the exam will be 3 hours, of which 2 hour is for Physics & chemistry paper and one hour is for Mathematics paper.

 

Candidates appearing at the examination will be evaluated on the basis of a question paper of 180 marks, including 60-marks questions each for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates will get a span of 30 hours to complete the test. The initial 2 hours slot is reserved for answering the Physics and Chemistry paper while the last hour slot is for answering the questions on mathematics. For the medium of examination, students will only have the option of English. It will be relevant to state that there is no provision of negative marking for providing wrong answers.

COMEDK UGET Admit Card

Candidates will require downloading the admit card, known as the Online Test Admission ticket from the official website of the consortium. Students will not be allowed to appear at the test unless admit card is produced. It is advised that candidates preserve this card till the completion of the admission process as they will have to produce it during the counseling sessions.

COMEDK UGET Results & Score Card

The information related to the test score for the candidates will be made available under the login account of the candidate. The ranking of the candidate will get prepared as per their performance in the screening examination. The consortium is likely to publish the result of the examination on its website by the last week of May. 

  • The details related to the candidate’s test scores will be available under the candidate’s login account. The rank of the candidate will be prepared as per his/her performance in the entrance examination. Result will be published in the last week of May tentatively.
  • The rank card will also be uploaded online and can be accessed by providing login credentials
  • The candidates can download the provisional answer key in the first week of May and after few days of provisional answer key, the final answer key will be released. The candidates can estimate their marks with the official answer key.

COMEDK UGET Counselling & Admission

Candidates need to attend  counselling for getting admission in the desired branch and college. The quantum of tuition fees, the number of seats that are available and counselling dates will be announced after the declaration of results. On the counselling date, candidates should be present in person along with the required counselling documents. Choice of the available seat in the college is based upon the merit list.

Students who fail to report at the venue at the specified time on the counselling date along with the prerequisite documents will be counted as late comers. These late comers are not eligible for counselling during the session.

B. Arch New Eligibility criteria.

New eligibility criteria for architecture program. According to new criteria 50% marks required IN PCM and also overall in 10+2.

which all documents that are required to be uploaded in Application form?

Following Documents that has to be uploaded in  Application form:

  • The first step is that the candidate has to visit the  official website and register themselves by filling the details.
  • Filling up the  Application form can be done via online mode only.
  • Documents that have to be uploaded are: Scanned Passport size photograph and signature in the JPEG format.
  • After Uploading, the candidates need to take out the print out of the filled Application form for the Future Reference. 

 

In Exam Pattern, how many marks will be provided for per question and is there a negative marking?

Exam Pattern:

  • COMEDK UGET will comprise of 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • In Exam pattern, the question paper will have total questions of 180. From each subject, 60 questions will be asked.
  • For each correct answer, 1 mark will be provided.
  • Exam paper will contain MCQs and it will be conducted online i.e. Computer based test.
  • There is no negative marking system.

Details on the  Syllabus for Mathematics subject:

  • The candidates need to be thorough with the  Syllabus for Mathematics subject while doing preparation for the  exam.
  • Syllabus for Mathematics: Probability, Differential Calculus, Differential Equations, Differential Equations, Circles, Three Dimensional Geometry, Vector Algebra, Matrices and Determinants.

 

when will  Mock Test be available?

Mock Test Availability:

  • Mock test will be made available from 5th of February.
  • The candidates need to visit the  official website in order to avail the  Mock test. 
  • Mock test will be similar to the  Exam pattern. 
  • The candidates who have not registered for the exam, they can also use the  Mock test.

Eligibility criteria for Btech program

  • Aspirants must have qualified their 12th examination (10+2 system) from a recognized board.
  • Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English.
  • Percentage criteria: 45% marks aggregate (for SC/ST cadre, it is 40%).
  • Aspirants who are attending for 12th examination can also apply as they also fulfill the Eligibility criteria.
