Karnataka Engineering Colleges Entrance Test [COMEDK UGET]
COMEDK UGET happens to be a state level entrance test which is managed by COMEDK or the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental of Karnataka. The exam is conducted with an eye to conferring admission into different UG courses in the areas of engineering, dental and medical. From the year of 2017, the entrance test will be conducted for providing admission into Architecture and engineering courses. viz. B.Arch and B.Tech.
There are almost more than 120 participating institutes in the entrance examination which confer a sum total of 29 undergraduate UG courses. If you are willing to apply for the COMEDK entrance test, you should fill the online Application form after registering online. It is a prerequisite that candidates should be fulfilling the eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test. Since it is not a must for the candidates to be a resident of Karnataka, students across the country are eligible for appearing for the exam.
After applying successfully for the COMEDK UGET entrance test, candidates can download the admit card after they are being released by the concerned authority. The entrance test is conducted in almost 151 cities across India. There are 60 multiple choice questions for each section in the question paper.
The COMEDK results will be announced on the web. The counseling for the entrance test will be a single window counseling which will accomplish in two rounds. Candidates need to attend the COMEDK counseling in person. It is a must for every candidate to register for taking part in seat allotment procedure.

COMEDK UGET 2021 Eligibility criteria
Eligibility Criteria for Engineering ( BE/B.Tech)
COMEDK UGET is essential to check the eligibility criteria prior to applying for any examination. It is not mandatory to be a resident of Karnataka for appearing in the COMEDK entrance exam. Candidates seeking to the engineering courses should pass the higher secondary examination from a recognized board. Students should have scored a minimum aggregate score of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. To seek admission in architecture course, a candidate should have completed the 10+3 diploma course with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in PCM. Diploma candidates are not eligible to seek admission as there is no provision for lateral entry.
- Age: COMEDK UGET 2019 has no restrictions in age factor. Candidates with any age criteria can appear for the examination.
- Qualification: Candidates should have completed or appearing for 12th can apply for COMEDK 2019. Candidates with 10+3 can also appear for the exam.
- Subjects: Candidates should attain a minimum of 50% aggregate in 12th in the mandatory subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, English and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology.
- Required Score: Candidates belonging to general category should minimum attain 50% in 12th and candidates belonging to reserved category should minimum attain 45%.
For Architecture Courses:
- Aspirants should have passed 12th or its equivalent examination from recognized board with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subject.
- The candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in the pattern of 10+3 (diploma holders) with at least 50% aggregate marks (40% in respect to SC/ST/OBC) are also eligible to apply for architecture courses.
- There will be no entrance test for admission to architecture courses. The admission is done on the basis of candidate’s score in NATA. To be eligible for admission, minimum marks of 80 out of 200 will be required.
- Those looking for admission in B. Arch have to submit the separate application form.
COMEDK UGET 2021 Application Form & fees
Application from will be issued by COMEDK UGET authorities and all the eligible candidates can apply for the course through online mode. Candidates are required for doing registration online prior to filling up the application form. Candidates need to impart their email ID and mobile number during registration. Candidates, desirous to appear at this screening test can get the application form on the website of the COMEDK from the 2nd week of January. The last day for filling the application form will be the last business day of the month of April 2nd week. After the successful registration, students will receive the User Id as well as a password to the registered email address. Students will require uploading their photographs and signature in a prescribed format.
- The COMEDK Application Form will be accessible online only through the official website.
- The candidates will receive the User Id and password on their registered email ID and password after the successful registration.
- The COMEDK UGET Application Form fee is around INR 1600/- and the fee can be paid through online or offline mode.
- The fee for COMEDK Application form can be paid through online mode through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
How to fill COMEDK Application form?
Step 1: Registration: Candidates should register for COMEK 2019 from the official website by providing details like name, date of birth, email Id, etc.
Step 2: Login Details: After registration the candidates will be provided with Login Id and Password for further use.
Step 3: Application Filling: Candidates can fill the COMEDK 2019 application form by entering the personal details, academic details and many more.
Step 4: Uploading Documents: Candidates should upload the scanned copy of their recent passport size photograph and signature.
Step 5: Fee Payment: Fee payment can be done online through net banking/credit card/debit card.

COMEDK UGET 2021 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
The syllabus for the COMEDK UGET test resembles the standard of the syllabus of the higher secondary examination, observed by any recognized boards in India. It covers various topics related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- The COMEDK examination will be asked in English medium only and contains the questions of objective type.
- The COMEDK syllabus of the entrance test is based on 12th/2nd PUC.
- The students are provided with one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answer.
- The time duration of the exam will be 3 hours, of which 2 hour is for Physics & chemistry paper and one hour is for Mathematics paper.
Candidates appearing at the examination will be evaluated on the basis of a question paper of 180 marks, including 60-marks questions each for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates will get a span of 30 hours to complete the test. The initial 2 hours slot is reserved for answering the Physics and Chemistry paper while the last hour slot is for answering the questions on mathematics. For the medium of examination, students will only have the option of English. It will be relevant to state that there is no provision of negative marking for providing wrong answers.
COMEDK UGET Exam Pattern:
COMEDK UGET will be a computer based test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The test will be for the duration of 3 hours for 180 marks. Each subject will be for 60 marks each and the questions will be in English medium.

COMEDK UGET 2021 Admit Card
COMEDK UGET Admit Card will be released in the month of May every year. Candidates will require downloading the COMEDK admit card, known as the Online Test Admission ticket from the official website of the consortium. Students will not be allowed to appear at the test unless COEMDK admit card is produced. It is advised that candidates preserve this card till the completion of the admission process as they will have to produce it during the counseling sessions. The COEMDK Admit card will be issued through online mode via COMEDK official website. Registered candidates can login with their login credentials and download the admit card. COMEDK UGET 2021 Counselling & Admission
Candidates need to attend COMEDK UGET counseling for getting admission in the desired branch and college. The quantum of tuition fees, the number of seats that are available and counseling dates will be announced after the declaration of COMEDK results. On the COMEDK counseling date, candidates should be present in person along with the required counseling documents. Choice of the available seat in the college is based upon the merit list. Students who fail to report at the venue at the specified time on the counseling date along with the prerequisite documents will be counted as late comers. These late comers are not eligible for counseling during the session.
Candidates eligible for adding COMEDK Counseling
- Students who have registered in before and successfully attended COMEDK entrance exam are eligible to attend COMEDK Counseling.
- Candidates with the minimum eligibility of 45% marks in 12th (for SC, ST and OBS candidates) and minimum 50% aggregate (for general category) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
- Candidates appearing for supplementary exams are also eligible to attend for round 2 counseling.
COMEDK Counseling Process:
- Registration: Candidates should register for counseling through online from the COMEDK website.
- Choice Filling: Candidates should fill the choice of their preferred course and preferred colleges
- Seat Allotment: A mock allotment of seats will be made by the admissions authorities based on the preferred colleges.
- Final Seat Allotment: After all the changes or modification the final seat allotment will be made by the admission authorities.
