COMEDK UGET 2024 Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern and Syllabus

Candidates willing to appear for COMEDK must check the COMEDK eligibility criteria before filling COMEDK 2024 Application Form. Candidates from other than Karnataka State are eligible to appear for COMEDK. It is not mandatory to be a Karnataka resident to appear in the COMEDK entrance exam. Candidates seeking Engineering courses should pass the higher secondary examination from a recognized board. Students should have scored a minimum aggregate score of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. To seek admission in the architecture course, a candidate should have completed the 10+3 diploma course with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in PCM. Diploma candidates are not eligible to seek admission as there is no provision for lateral entry.

• Age: COMEDK UGET 2024 has no restrictions on the age factor. Candidates with any age criteria can appear for the examination.
• Qualification: Candidates who should have completed or appeared for the 12^th can apply for COMEDK. Candidates with 10+3 can also appear for the exam.
• Subjects: Candidates should attain a minimum of 50% aggregate in 12^th in the mandatory subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, English, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology.
• Required Score: Candidates in the general category should attain 50% in the 12^th, and candidates in the reserved category should attain 45%.

For Architecture Courses:

• Aspirants should have passed the 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.
• The candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in the pattern of 10+3 (diploma holders) with at least 50% aggregate marks (40% in respect to SC/ST/OBC) are also eligible to apply for architecture courses.
• There will be no entrance test for admission to architecture courses. The admission is made based on the candidate’s score in NATA. Minimum marks of 80 out of 200 will be required to be eligible for admission.
• Those seeking admission in B. Arch must submit a separate application form.
• But applicants must undergo COMEDK Counselling to secure a B Arch admission seat. Based on the NATA score, they can register. 

The consortium will issue the COMEDK UGET application forms, and all eligible candidates can apply for the exam online. Candidates must register for COMEDK online before filling up the application form. The consortium will likely release COMEDK 2024 application forms by the fourth week of March 2024. Candidates need to impart their email ID and mobile number during registration. Candidates desirous of appearing at this screening test can get the application form on the website of COMEDK. The last date to apply for COMEDK 2024 is the third week of May 2024. After the successful registration, students will receive the User ID and a password to the registered email address. Students will require uploading their photographs and signature in a prescribed format.

How do I fill COMEDK 2024 Application form?

Step 1: Registration: Candidates should register for COMEK 2024 from the official website by providing details like name, date of birth, email Id, etc.

Step 2: Login Details: After registration, the candidates will be provided with their Login Id and Password for further use.

Step 3: Application Filling: Candidates can fill out the COMEDK 2024 application form by entering their details, academic details, and many more.

Step 5: COMEDK 2024 Fee Payment: Payment can be made online through net banking/credit card/debit card.

The COMEDK UGET syllabus resembles the standard of the higher secondary examination syllabus observed by any recognized boards in India. It covers various topics related to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 

• The COMEDK examination will only be asked in English and contains objective-type questions.
• The entrance test's COMEDK syllabus is based on the 12th/2nd PUC.
• The students are given one mark for each correct answer, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
• The exam's duration will be 3 hours, of which 2 hours is for Physics & chemistry paper and one hour is for Mathematics paper.

Candidates appearing for the examination will be evaluated based on a question paper of 180 marks, including 60-mark questions each for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates will get 30 hours to complete the test. The initial 2 hours slot is reserved for answering the Physics and Chemistry paper, while the last hour slot is for answering the questions on mathematics. For the medium of examination, students will only have English. It will be relevant to state no provision of negative marking for providing wrong answers.

COMEDK UGET 2024 Exam Pattern:

COMEDK UGET will be a computer-based test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The test will be for 3 hours for 180 marks. Each subject will be 60 marks, and the questions will be in English.

COMEDK UGET Admit Card will be released by the second week of June 2024. Candidates must download the COMEDK admit card, known as the Online Test Admission ticket, from the consortium's official website. Students will not appear at the test unless COEMDK admits a card is produced. It is advised that candidates preserve this card until completion of the admission process, as they will have to produce it during the COMEDK counseling sessions. Registered candidates can log in with their login credentials and download the admit card.

Candidates must attend COMEDK UGET counseling for admission to the desired branch and college. The quantum of tuition fees, the number of available seats, and COMEDK counseling dates will be announced after the declaration of COMEDK results. On the COMEDK counseling date, candidates should be present in person along with the required counseling documents. The college's available seat choice is based on the merit list. Students who fail to report at the venue at the specified time on the counseling date will be counted as latecomers, along with the prerequisite documents. These latecomers are not eligible for counseling during the session.

Candidates eligible for adding COMEDK Counseling

• Students who have registered before and successfully attended the COMEDK entrance exam are eligible to attend COMEDK Counseling.
• Candidates with the minimum eligibility of 45% marks in 12^th (for SC, ST, and OBS candidates) and a minimum 50% aggregate (for general category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
• Candidates appearing for supplementary exams are also eligible to attend round 2 counseling.

COMEDK Counseling Process:

• Registration: Candidates should register for counseling online from the COMEDK website.
• Choice Filling: Candidates should fill the choice of their preferred course and preferred colleges
• Seat Allotment: The admissions authorities will mock allotment seats based on the preferred colleges.
• Final Seat Allotment: After all the changes or modifications, the admission authorities will make the final seat allotment.

B. Arch New Eligibility criteria.

New eligibility criteria for the architecture program. According to new criteria, 50% marks are required IN PCM and overall in 10+2.

Which documents are required to be uploaded in the Application form?

Following Documents that have to be uploaded in the Application form:

• The first step is that the candidate has to visit the official website and register by filling in the details.
• Filling up the  Application form can be done via online mode only.
• Documents that must be uploaded are Scanned Passport size photographs and signatures in JPEG format.

In Exam Pattern, how many marks will be provided per question, and is there a negative marking?

Exam Pattern:

• COMEDK UGET will comprise 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• In the Exam pattern, the question paper will have a total number of questions of 180. For each subject, 60 questions will be asked.
• For each correct answer, 1 mark will be provided.
• The exam paper will contain MCQs and be conducted online, i.e., Computer-based tests.
• There is no negative marking system.
