There are a wide number of candidates who are willing to pursue their career under NTPC in Indian railways (Nontechnical well-renowned categories). There are several vacancies of the non technical kind under these categories which are inclusive of Ticket Collector, Station Master, Ticket Clerk, to name a few.

In this year, the results will be declared tentatively in March 2018. It is a prerequisite to getting an idea of the cut off marks for qualifying the RRB NTPC main examination so that the candidates are capable of starting their preparation again.

The examination has already been conducted for this year from 17th Jan to 19th Jan 2018 online. Railways release the answer keys for every year so that the candidates can know their marks. Railways announced results in accordance with normalizing marks. The results are not declared in accordance with the raw score. The raw score is considered to be the marks that a candidate gets in accordance with the answer key.

There are several factors which influence the cut off marks for RRB NTPC examination. The factors are inclusive of Railway board, average marks of the candidate for normalization, a difficulty level of the exam, the total number of seats that are vacant in each railway board, etc.

For applying for this examination, it is a must to meet the eligibility norms. Failing to meet the eligibility criteria may be the cause of disqualification during or after the appointment. Hence, candidates should give more priority to check the eligibility criteria of this examination. The written examination paper consists of 100 to 120 questions. Applicants are allowed to complete the question paper within time duration of 90 to 120 minutes.

The second stage of RRB NTPC 2018 was conducted on 17th to 19th January 2018. The examination is conducted in 4 shifts. The results of this examination are going to be announced tentatively in the month of March. 

RRB NTPC Recruitment Eligibility criteria

Candidates should ensure that they are fulfilling the eligibility criteria prior to joining any organization. Candidates who are willing to pursue their career by joining the RRB NTPC need to know about the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria offer set of rules to the candidate regarding the aptitude and ability that are expected from the applicants.

In accordance with the eligibility criteria, applicants need to attain an age of at least 18 years. Candidates of the age of more than 32 years are not eligible to appear in this examination. There is, however, relaxation of age for candidates of reserved category. It is essential to complete graduation from a recognized university for appearing in the examination. It is mandatory for the candidate to have a good typing speed at the same time.

RRB NTPC Recruitment Application Form & fees

The first stage of the selection process is recognized to be the publishing of job notification with which the candidates are notified to fill the application form. Candidates who are willing to seek admission need to fill the application form online. The application form for RRB NTPC needs to be filled and submitted online.

Candidates require providing necessary details in the application form which are inclusive of the name, class of the community, gender, address, email ID, contact number, educational application and few more. In the second part of this application form, candidates need to upload signature along with a scanned photo in a specific format.

Candidates also need to submit application fee along with the form. After filling all the necessary details and payment of application fees, the application form is submitted and a registration number is conferred to the candidate which should be saved for reference later on.

RRB NTPC Recruitment Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The syllabus for RRB NTPC comprises of four general topics which are inclusive of General Awareness, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Science. Candidates who are willing to pursue a career in RRB NTPC need to qualify for the selection process that is set by RRB.

All the candidates need to appear in the written examination. The basic knowledge and calculation capabilities are tested through this examination. The written examination paper will comprise of 100 to 120 questions. There is a time allotment of 120 minutes for solving the question paper.

Candidates who qualify for the written test needs to appear in the computer based examination in which computer skills of the applicant are tested. After successful completion of the computer-based test, successful candidates receive notification for proving the suitability for nontechnical popular categories in railways. Candidates who are successful in satisfying RRB with vocal and mental capabilities get appointed in different departments of Railway.

RRB NTPC Recruitment Admit Card

After successful submission of application form online, admit card is issued to the candidate which lets the candidate for appearing in the examination. Candidates need to bring the admit card to the examination venue.

The admit card contains different details such as name, roll number, date of birth along with scanned signature and photo of the candidate.

RRB NTPC Recruitment Results & Score Card

The declaration of the results of the examination is considered to be a vital part of the selection procedure. Candidates who have appeared in the written examination at the initial stage and then the results of the written examination is declared within two or three weeks.
