Manipal Academy of Higher Education Online Entrance Test (MAHE-OET), formerly Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) happens to be a university level entrance examination organized by Manipal University. The entrance exam is conducted every year to provide admission to students who seek admission in different PG and UG courses in the areas of pharmacy, engineering offered by Manipal University and the different constituent colleges. Admission in the colleges will be done strictly in accordance with the results of MU OET. This exam confers a platform to all the deserving and dedicated students who are willing to pursue their career in engineering science every year.

MU OET is recognized to be a National Level examination which is conducted online annually. The syllabus for this entrance test is inclusive of General English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The questions of the test are based generally on the 10+2 syllabus which is followed by maximum 10+2 Universities and boards. The test is conducted in different states across the country.

This test also provides admission to lateral entry, B.Tech courses in different Government and private colleges and universities. You should make sure to check the eligibility criteria before appearing in the entrance test to avoid confusion at a later off stage.

MU OET Exam Date

MU OET Application Form & fees

Filling the application form is important based on which students will be enrolled for MU OET, aspirants are advised to fill the form with complete detail and valid information. Filling the Manipal University application form will be online mode and it is mandatory to submit the form before the due date to sit for MU OET.

To complete the registration one will undergo these many steps:

Step 1: Registration

Before filling the application form students need to register online which includes the basic details such as Email ID, Contact Number and Password. Once the registration is done students will be sent with a conformation message on the registered phone number or Mail ID. So email ID and password will be used for further all logins to fill the application form.

Step 2: Filling the application form

Using the credentials candidates have to login and complete the form so the details that have to be filled are Name, Gender, DOB, Nationality, Category, Course, Stream, Parent’s Information, Address and uploading scanned photocopy of candidates photograph and signature.

Step 3: Correction of Information

After filling the details candidates will have to check if the given information is correct because any editing or modification or updating can be made at this stage so carefully glance and then proceed further.

Step 4: Application fee payment

Select the preferred payment method, there are two different modes of payment through which aspirants can make the payment however the fee remains the same.

Online Mode: Aspirants choosing online payment mode have options like Debit/Credit or Net banking.

Offline Mode: For those candidates choosing the offline payment mode then via demand draft in favour of Manipal University can clear the fee.

Step 5: Uploading documents and Submission

Valid education qualification documents have to be uploaded also there is certain format to upload, so once the uploading is done the final submission will be made and after submitting the completed application form candidates can check for the application status in the candidate portal using the same credentials.

MU OET Eligibility criteria

No matter which course candidates choose, minimum eligibility is required to apply for the exam and then for counselling and then to seek admissions. Below provided are the few details about the eligibility criteria based on which candidates can apply for the exam.

  • Age: There is no restriction in age, like aspirants regardless of their maximum age can apply for MU OET Exam.
  • Nationality: Only Indian Nationals can apply for MU OET and sit for the exam to seek Manipal University admissions.
  • Minimum Marks: MU OET score must be minimum 50% marks to get eligibility for counselling.
  • Qualification: For those applying for UG courses need to have minimum 50% marks in 10+2 from relevant discipline. To apply for PG program, candidates must have at least 45% in their graduation from recognised university in related stream.

Without the Admit Card students are not allowed inside the examination hall, as soon as the application form is processed admit card will be generated and candidates are advised to download and keep a copy of admit card for further reference.

To get Manipal University admission it is mandatory to sit for university conducting entrance exam and to clear the entrance exam, in prior preparation is necessary. Just planning is not enough candidates got to implement and execute the plan to get good score in the exam.

MU OET Counselling & Admission

On basis of counselling further admissions will be processed, once the results are declared students will be invited for counselling if the candidates meet the minimum cut-off and are eligible enough. The steps to be followed for MU OET counselling are:

  • Registration: first candidates will register for counselling in the official website
  • Documents Verification: with the original documents candidates verified and with one set of self-attested photocopies.
  • Allotment of Seats: based on the students rank, student’s choice and availability of seats, students will be allotted with seats.
  • Fee of counselling: payment need to be done through DD and then collect the provisional admission letter.
  • Waitlist: students willing to change the allotted seat and for those who have not been allotted with seats in the 1st round of counselling waitlist will be published.
  • Fill/Modify the choices made: by logging into the portal one can fill/modify the choices made according to student’s preference. Here, candidates will take the printout of the filled or modified choices
  • Reporting to the allotted colleges: this is the last step and candidate will report to the allotted college with the provisional admission letter as per the mentioned dates in the letter.

MU OET Participating Colleges

Manipal University conducts the entrance test of MU OET 2020 for providing admission in three different institutions for B.Tech programs. Candidates who have appeared for the entrance test require filling only one form for providing admission to three colleges. Candidates who have qualified the entrance test will be provided admission in accordance with the ranking in All Indian MU OET 2020 entrance test.
