Manipal Academy of Higher Education Online Entrance Test (MAHE-OET), formerly Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET)  happens to be a university level entrance examination organized by Manipal University. The entrance exam is conducted every year to provide admission to students who seek admission in different PG and UG courses in the areas of pharmacy, engineering offered by Manipal University and the different constituent colleges. Admission in the colleges will be done strictly in accordance with the results of MU OET. This exam confers a platform to all the deserving and dedicated students who are willing to pursue their career in engineering science every year.

MU OET 2018 is recognized to be a National Level examination which is conducted online annually. The syllabus for this entrance test is inclusive of General English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The questions of the test are based generally on the 10+2 syllabus which is followed by maximum 10+2 Universities and boards. The test is conducted in different states across the country.

This test also provides admission to lateral entry, B.Tech courses in different Government and private colleges and universities. You should make sure to check the eligibility criteria before appearing in the entrance test to avoid confusion at a later off stage.

MU OET Exam Date

The MU OET 2018 examination has been scheduled to hold between April and May 2018. Applicants should complete the formalities of examination slot booking latest by the 31st of March 2018.  This entrance test is conducted through the online mode only. Results of the entrance test will be declared on or before 23rd of the month May 2017. Counselling will start tentatively in the first week of June.

MU OET Application Form & fees

The application to appear at this examination has started from 22nd October 2017 and the application form has been made available at the official website of the University. Candidates can download the application form online and submit it, along with the specific fees till the 31st of Match 2018. Students can pay the application fees online through Debit & credit card and through internet banking option. Alternatively, they can remit the fees offline through demand draft.

MU OET Eligibility criteria

Applicant should have passed the higher secondary examination from recognized state boards or from the Central board or from the ICSE council. They should have secured a minimum score of 50% in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology. Applicant should have English as one of the compulsory subjects at the 12th standard. 

The following are the important eligibility conditions for MU OET 2018 Examination:

  • Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Candidates must have passed Class XII,IB A-level, American 12th grade or equivalent.
  • It is compulsory to have to have Physics, Mathematics and English
  • Along with the compulsory subjects should have optional subjects as Chemistry or
  • Biotechnology or Biology or any Technical vocational subjects
  • To qualify in the exam candidates must have an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics,
  • Mathematics, and any of the optional subjects mentioned above.
  • There is no minimum age requirement.

MU OET Admit Card

Applicants will require downloading the admit card from the official website of the university. MU OET Admit Cards can be downloaded after the candidates book the examination slot. The university will not send admit cards to the students through posts. 

  • The e-hall ticket is important because it has your e-hall ticket number, the course/s you have applied for, address of the test centre, and the date and time of your test.
  • The system generates the e-hall ticket 24 hours after you have booked your schedule through the online test booking system.
  • It is issued to applicants who book their slots using the online test booking system before the booking end date for respective courses as per the booking schedule.
  • If there are any discrepancies, please do not hesitate to bring it to our notice.
  • You can get your e-hall ticket from here www.manipalotbs.com. To do that you will need to specify your application form number and online test booking password to download it.
  • A copy of your e-hall ticket will also be emailed to you. (Please be sure to provide the correct email address in your application form).

PLEASE REMEMBER:

  • The e-hall ticket will NOT be sent to you via post or fax.
  • Please take two printouts of the e-hall ticket on A4 size paper, only.
  • Take a minute to check that all the information on the e-hall ticket is clearly legible, especially your photograph and signature.
  • No applicant will be permitted to appear for the test without a valid e-hall ticket.
  • You must not deface the e-hall ticket, or attempt to change any information on it after it has been authenticated and received at the admission office.
  • The e-hall ticket is also not transferable to anyone else. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
  • The e-hall ticket is an important document; it must be preserved and produced at the time of counselling/admission.

ON THE DAY OF THE TEST WHEN YOU REPORT TO THE TEST CENTRE, YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU

  • two copies of the e-hall ticket,
  • one photocopy of the application form and
  • any one of the following for photo identification: Passport/Driving License/EC Voter ID card/IT PAN card or School/College photo-bearing ID card.

MU OET Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The MU OET question paper for this test will include 200 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. Candidates will get a span of 2 hours and 30 minutes to answer the questions. Students will require answering 50 questions from Physics & Chemistry, 70 questions from Mathematics and 30 questions from English & General aptitude topics. Candidates will have to answer a question from topics corresponding to the syllabus of the higher secondary examination.  To appear at this online screening, students will compulsorily have to book the slot for online test. 

The syllabus of the MU OET 2018 corresponds to the syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology in the Higher Secondary examination conducted by all recognized state boards as well as the central board and ISCE council. MU OET Counselling & Admission

MU OET 2018 is considered to be the stage where candidates will be counseled for the admission process and seats that are available for allotment in affiliated participating institutes and Manipal Universities. Candidates who have qualified in the entrance test of MU OET 2018  can appear in the counselling round. The admissions will be accomplished in accordance with the merit which will be determined via performance in the examination. The counselling will start tentatively in the first week of the month of June in 2018.

It is mandatory for the candidate to present in person at the time of counselling. Candidates will be called on the basis of ranking and asked to select a seat from the available ones.
