About Symbiosis entrance test:

Symbiosis entrance test (SET) is a common written test organized every year nationally. This test is for admission in various undergraduate programs in the institutes of Symbiosis International University. The university was established by the Government of India. This test allows students to take admission in various institutes of Symbiosis University.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates of general category will have to secure 55% of minimum marks
  • Reserved category candidates are given little concession in marks, especially scheduled category candidates such as SC and ST are given marks concession of 5%, as they can able to secure 50% of minimum marks in their qualifying education.

Application Process:

  • Candidates seeking to appear in Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for law, engineering, design, and health sciences should have to first register for SET online by visiting the official website link of authority i.e. www.set-test.org.
  • As per calendar of events available by SIMC, SET application form will be probably accessible from February.
  • They need to provide all important details prescribed in application form such as name, qualification, marks etc accurately.
  • Candidates have to submit the duly filled form along with passport size photograph and signature with applicable application fee on or before due date.
  • A Demand Draft can also be made from any national bank in the in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune to the following address:

  • Candidates are advised to take a printed copy of fee receipt and the application form for future reference.

Exam Pattern:

In general, SET Examination is divided into three major papers
First Paper:
  • 1 & ¼ hour is the total duration of this SET Examination first paper
  • In this first paper, 60 numbers of questions will be asked
  • Candidates are given options to choose only 50 questions from given 60
  • In this first paper, candidates are given 100 marks totally
Second Paper:
  • 1 & ¼ hour is the total duration of this examination
  • In this second paper, 50 questions will be asked
  • All questions are compulsory in this test
  • In paper II Examination, 100 marks are allotted
