SET competitive exam is known for getting admissions into Undergrad courses like B-Tech, BA, BBA, LLB, B.Sc. BCA, B.Des, and so on, with various specializations in the stream, will be held per the examination authority's schedule. Students getting ready to appear for SET 2024 should know about the conducting authorities who initiate for taking important considerations in their eligibility criteria. Understanding the specified criteria will help the aspiring students to know if they will be qualified or have the capacity to appear for the exam before filling the online application form. Here, the candidates should realize that once the committee decides that the aspirant doesn’t fit the criteria, the application may be considered disqualified at any admission stage. 

Students applying for the entrance test must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below to appear for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2024 exam:

• The candidate must have cleared class 12 from a recognized board in the relevant stream.
• Candidate should have obtained at least 50% aggregate in their class 12 board exams (45% for reserved category)
• If any student has their class 12 or equivalent from a Foreign board, they must present an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to qualify for the SET competitive exam 2024.

The SET aspirant students will have to follow few steps before applying for SET 2024. The application/ registration process for SET 2023 involves a set of the following stages: Registration, SET Password, getting Enrolment ID, Filling the Application, and Uploading scanned Photographs and other required Documents, Online paying of fees, etc.

Candidates must have an in-depth look into the details regarding the SET 2024 Application Form:

The SET 2024 Application Form will be made live and accessible from the last week of January  2024 as said by the authority, and the last due date for the submission of the application form with fee will be in the last week of April 2024. SET 2024 Application form will be made available via online mode on the official website.

The application form will be released from Jan 2024, and candidates should be registered on time for taking up the entrance test.

Step 1: Registration         

To register for SET 2024, the applicants will have to provide some necessary details such as their name, date of birth, email-id, contact details, residence address, choice of stream, specializations, entrance exam details, exam center information, etc. and press submit button.

After the form's submission, applicants have to wait for 24 hours, and then students will be informed about their course and stream through email or SMS after which he/she will have to continue to complete all the other application steps.

Step 2: Uploading Documents/ Photographs     

Students will have to digitally upload their scanned copy of recent, passport-size photographs and their signature as per the form's specifications. The picture size should be less than 150 KB and should be uploaded in JPEG format.

Step 3: Application Submission                  

Once the above steps have been completed, a declaration will be displayed on the screen, and the student should read it and click on ‘I accept the terms and conditions.’

The SET 2024 application form will appear on the screen, and the aspirants will have to verify all the details and can also modify it and then click on ‘Save and Print’

Applicants must print out the application receipt after the above steps are completed. This has a payment ID for reference, which will be used for paying application fees.

Step 4: Payment of Fees                                  

The payment link for application fees will be live only after the form has been submitted. Now the candidates can pay the fees, which can be done through both online and offline mode. The application fees are for the SET 2024 application form is INR 1750-2000

Step 5: Confirmation of Application

After the application fees transaction is completed, students will notify their mobile number regarding the registration completion.

They will also receive mail on their registered email ID where the candidate will contain a PDF file of the complete Application Form of SET 2024 , and later the aspirants can access their registered accounts and print out the application form.

While preparing to appear for the SET 2024 entrance exam, the students must be aware of the updated Exam Pattern. This will help them know about the details like the mode of examination, marking criteria, important sections to concentrate on, any negative marking, type of questions, the total number of questions and areas, duration of exam, etc. This will help them to have better preparations for the entrance test.

SET 2024 is a 2 hours or 120 minutes online computer-based exam for various UG courses. Candidates will have to attend 150 questions carrying 150 marks, four sections to attend as General English, Quantitative, General Awareness, and Analytical and Logical reasoning. Each section carries 40 marks, and only the last section carries 30 marks. Here a new type of question pattern has been added in SET 2024, i.e., Multiple Select Question, MSQ, and there is no negative marking for these exams.

SET 2024 Syllabus

For SET 2024, there isn’t any specific syllabus as specified by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). However, the question paper will have questions diversified under 4 different sections like Analytical and Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, General English, and Quantitative Aptitude topics. To clear the SET exam, students will have to prepare to study these topics and sub-topics.

There will be questions from topics like Arrangements, Series, Blood Relations, Syllogisms, Assumptions, Venn Diagrams, Coding, and Decoding, in the Analytical and Logical Reasoning section Situation-based questions, Verbal Reasoning (cause and effect), Arguments and Situations, Statements and Conclusions, etc.

In General English sections, there will be questions related to Grammar, Synonyms and Antonyms, Phrases, Reading Comprehensions, Analogy, Spelling error, Vocabulary, etc.

In the Quantitative Skills section, there will be questions from Class 10-level of mathematics and concepts like Percentage, Profit and Loss, Discount, Time and Work, Probability, Speed and Distance, and Algebra Permutation, and Combination, etc.

The final section, called General Awareness of the SET 2024 exam, will have questions related to general Current Affairs, Companies and Founders, Awards, Sports, Science, etc.

The SET 2024 admit card/ hall ticket will be issued to the candidates who have registered themselves for the SET exam and have paid the application fees along with it. The admit cards will be released on the conducting body's official website by the end of April 2024.

Firstly Log in to the SET website and click on the ‘Admit card’ link. Then enter the login credentials and download the admit card/ hall ticket. The students must carefully check the information mentioned on the admit cards, such as the applicant's name, exam date, venue, time, and contact details. Candidates must also carry a valid photo ID proof issued by India's Government to the exam center. They must attach a recent passport size photograph on the hall ticket as they uploaded in the SET application form. It is also mandatory for all applied candidates to carry their admit cards at the examination center. If not, the applicant will not be allowed to appear for the examination without the hall ticket along with anyone with considerable ID proof.

In addition to the SET 2024 admit card/ hall ticket, the candidate shall also carry one more valid Photo Id proof to prove their identity, such as:

• Voter ID
• Aadhaar ID

SET results 2024 are tentative to be announced by the second week of May 2024. The result, as well as the scorecard, will be released on the official website of SET 2023. The SET scorecard can be viewed using the login credentials.

SET 2024 results/scorecard includes details such as student’s name, SET registration number, roll number of the applicant, category-wise scores, and overall scores. The scorecard results will be available on the website until one month after the announcement. The scorecard of SET 2024 will be valid for the academic year from 2024-25.

SET 2024 Cut-off will be announced based on students' performance in the entrance test and their results that will be released online on the official website. Cut-off/ margin percentage is based on so many facts. It is mandatory for applicants to outreach the margin criteria to qualify for the examination & to further participate in various processes.

SET Admission Cut Off:         

SET 2024 admission cut-off process includes three important steps, i.e., SET 2024 exam ranks, Group Discussion, Written Ability Test, and Personal Interview. Students who clear the SET 2024 exam and match the cutoff margin released by each Symbiosis Institute will be called for the final selection round. The cutoff is varied for all the institutes and courses depending upon different criteria, and each institute will release its own cutoff.

SET 2024 will have a Cut-Off standard score that the candidate will have to secure to qualify for the examination. The cut-off margin usually depends on students taking up the exam, seat availability, level of difficulty in the exam, and considers the previous year's margin.  The institutes will announce the cut-off individually after the entrance test results are released by participating institutions/colleges.
