SNAP Exam: 2019 Application, Eligibility, Syllabus & Pattern

SNAP - Symbiosis University Aptitude Test

SNAP is also known as Symbiosis National Aptitude Test which is conducted by the Symbiosis University, Pune. This offers Post graduate course to the aspiring candidates who are willing to join the programme offered by Symbiosis international University.

This is a national level entrance test. The applicants need to go through the written test and personal interview once clearing the entrance test. The University conducts the entrance in the month of December.

SNAP 2018 entrance test will be held in the December 2018 for the admission in MBA Programme for the academic year 2019-2020.

The mentioned below are the SNAP important dates for the exam which the applicants need to follow. The exam has been scheduled in the month of December 2018. The admission process will start by the month of March 2019.

SNAP Eligibility criteria

The applicants interested for SNAP 2018 are advised to look into the eligibility criteria before filling up the registration form, if the criteria’s are not matching it might happen that the form will get cancelled by the exam authority.
The following are the criteria’s for the eligibility of SNAP 2018:

  • The candidate’s should have passed graduation in any stream from recognized university or institutions.
  • The minimum marks for the general category candidate is 50% in aggregate.
  • For the reserved category the marks is reduced to 45% in aggregate (for SC/ST Category).
  • The applicant who has completed their degree from any foreign university must have the equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Foreign nationals, Indian Origin students, Overseas Citizen of India and NRI (Nonresident Indian) can also appear for the entrance test.
  • For International Candidates:
  • Foreign National: A candidate who is holding a foreign passport can apply.
  • Person of Indian Origin: The candidate should hold a citizenship of some other country than India and he/she must have PIO card.
  • Overseas Citizen of India: The candidate must have a citizenship of other country except India and should have OCI card.
  • NRI (Non Resident India): The candidate should appear either for 10+2 exam or graduation from outside India. It is compulsory to have one of these exams for the candidates to appear outside India.

SNAP Application Form & fees

  • SNAP 2018 Application form will be available online in the official website of SNAP.The application form is available from 22nd August to 22nd November 2018).
  • The application form fee can be paid through different modes like Demand Draft, Online payment Gateway(NET Banking), Cash and By credit card.
  • The following are the few steps to be followed:
  • The application form is available online. The link is given (www.snaptest.org).
  • The candidates need to click on ‘Apply Online’ and the details to be filled carefully –Like name, address, age, gender, academic qualification details etc.
  • Once the application form is filled, the candidates need to upload their scanned images of the recent photographs.

Followed by is the fee payment procedure, it can be paid through net banking, credit card or by Demand Draft (DD)
The application fee:

  • SNAP 2018 application fee cost Rs.1500/-
  • Details of the mode of payment:
  • Online payment Through Credit Card: the candidate can use the credit or debit card by following the website instruction after the registration.
  • Payment through Net Banking: The applicant can transfer SNAP test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account using Net Banking option after the registration.
  • Through Cash Payment: Once the online SNAP 2016 registration is done, the candidate need to take the print of 'Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan' from the website. It is in 3 parts. Payment of  Rs. 1500/-to be made in cash at any Axis Bank or Indian Bank to the nearest branch. Refer to the list of branches on the website. The bank will return two stamped parts of the 'Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan' to the candidate.
  • Candidates need to keep the Candidate copy as payment receipt. Sign the stamped 'Symbiosis copy' of the 'Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan' and send it to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat
  • Payment through Demand draft: The candidate needs to make a demand draft Of Rs. 1500/- in the favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat" from any nationalized Bank payable at Pune. While filling the application form the candidate need to choose the payment option as DD Payment. Take a print out of the payment form, fill the DD Details, signature of the candidate and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat.

Once the payment will be received by the SYMBIOSIS TEST SECRETARIAT, the candidate will receive a confirmation of the fee payment in their mail address.

SNAP Syllabus & Exam Pattern

  • SNAP 2018 will have objective type questions like MCQ Pattern in the question paper.
  • There will be total of 180 questions, each question will have four options and the applicants need to choose the correct one. Each correct answer will reward 1 mark and each incorrect answer will deduct ¼ of the marks.
  • The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • The question paper will have four different sections like General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, General Awareness and Analytical and Logical Reasoning. The candidates need to use only blue or Black point pen to answer.

Before preparing for exams candidates should have complete knowledge about the syllabus. SNAP Admit Card

SNAP 2018 Admit card will be available online on the official website of SNAP. The following are the dates between which the candidates can download the admit card from (December 01, 2018, till Sunday, December 18, 2018). The candidates need to paste the recent passport size coloured photograph on the admit card before appearing for the test.

An authorized person from Symbiosis International University will verify and authenticate the Admit Card against the photo-id before entering the examination hall. The candidates are advised to keep the admit card safely till the admission procedure. If the admit card is lost, a duplicate card will not be issued. The candidates need to carry the id proofs like:

  • Passport
  • Driving license
  • College/Institute Identity Card
  • Credit card with photograph
  • Voter ID Card
  • Pan Card
  • AADHAR Card (UID)

SNAP Results & Score Card

SNAP 2018 Result will declare on the 2nd week of January 2019. The counseling will be done on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates. The result will be declared on the official website of SNAP website.

SNAP Counselling & Admission

The admission procedure will comprises of three stages GE-PIWAT (Group Exercise, Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test). After these stages, a final merit list will be prepared on basis of marks scored in SNAP and GE-PIWAT. Students will be informed for admission on the basis of merit list. After that, students have to report to the respective institution for their admission.

Documents required for Counseling:

  • Original and at least two attested copy of the 10th & 12th certificate and SNAP Rank card.
  • Original and photocopy of SNAP hall ticket.
  • Minimum 6 passport size photography.
  • Bank Draft as per the guidelines mentioned on SNAP prospect.
  • Community certificate signed by authorized authority (if applicable).

To get MBA admissions at SNAP University, Is it compulsory to write SNAP exam?

Yes, it is mandatory for the candidates to write SNAP Exam in order to get MBA admissions at SNAP University.
Symbiosis National Aptitude test (SNAP) is the university level examination which is held by Symbiosis University for the MBA admissions.

Candidates who qualify in SNAP exam will be further sent to the next selection rounds those are Group Exercise, Personal Interview and WAT (Written Admission Test). These rounds will be managed by the respective symbiosis institutes.
