National Aptitude Test [NAT]
National Aptitude Test (NAT) is conducted by the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT). A national level entrance exam was conducted to provide admission to both undergraduate (B Tech/BBA) and postgraduate program (MBA). APIIT, Panipat is one of the leading institutes situated in Haryana, and it was established in the year 2001 under S.D. Education Society. NAT entrance exam will be held in online mode at 15 exam centers across India. Candidates willing to secure admission at APIIT must clear NAT with a valid score. APIIT-NAT Application Process usually starts in September. Application forms can be submitted via online as well as offline mode. Candidates who meet the required eligibility conditions are eligible to apply for National Aptitude Test. After the conclusion of the application process, the admission authority will release the NAT Admit Card online on its official website. Thereafter, candidates who register successfully for the aptitude test will download the admit card.
APIIT conducts the NAT entrance exam in June every year. Candidates who get qualify in the entrance exam according to the minimum cut-off eligibility and those who get featured in NAT Merit List are eligible to participate in APIIT NAT Counselling Session, which will be conducted via offline mode admission courses. For B Tech admission at APIIT, 50% of seats are reserved for the NAT 2021 qualifiers, and the remaining 50% will be filled through Haryana State Counselling (Online off-campus). NAT 2021 Eligibility criteria
To apply for NAT Examination, applicants must meet certain eligibility conditions that the APIIT prescribes. NAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria differs for UG and PG Courses. Candidates can check out the detailed eligibility conditions which are mentioned below.
Eligibility for Undergraduate Courses
- Candidates who are willing to apply for UG Courses B Tech/BBA through NAT shall have passed in 12th/ intermediate examination with a minimum 45% aggregate score from any recognized board.
- If candidates are applying for B Tech Course through NAT, such candidates shall have secured the 12th examination in the science stream. They must have studied mandatory subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
- Aspirants looking to secure B Tech Lateral Entry admission in APIIT should have completed three years of diploma in Engineering course from any recognized institute. To get eligible, required to secure a minimum of 45% aggregate marks. Relaxation will be applicable for the reserved category.
- Candidates applying for BBA Course in APIIT shall have studied English as a Compulsory Subject with minimum aggregate marks.
- Whereas candidates belonging to the reserved category will be having 5% of relaxation in aggregate marks. Thus, candidates can secure a minimum 40% aggregate score in the 12th Examination.
- Candidates must have completed 17 years during the time of admission (apparently before June)
Eligibility for Post Graduate Course
- Applicants willing to secure admission for PG program MBA at APIIT should have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate score from any recognized institute/university.
- In case candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC / ST can obtain a minimum of 47.5% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. Those candidates who are pursuing their final year are also eligible to apply for MBA Course.
NAT 2021 Application Form & fees
APIIT NAT Application Forms are made available in online and offline mode. Applicants who meet the above-specified eligibility circumstances can apply for the NAT examination before the deadline. Usually, the NAT application process commences in September. The candidates should ensure the eligibility conditions before proceeding to apply. NAT online application process involves certain steps, namely user-profile completion, application verification, modifying the details, application fees payment, and submission.
Online mode:

Step 1: At first, candidates required to visit the official web site (@ www.apiit.edu.in)
Step 2: On the home page, click on the “Apply Now” Option.
Step 3: The application form window will display on the screen, candidates required to enter the details about personal information, qualification details, contact details and choose the preferred course and fill up other relevant details in the blanks
Step 4: After filling up the form, preview the details once. If candidates are required to make the application form changes, they need to click on the continue option.
Step 5: At last, proceed to pay the APIIT NAT 2021 application fees, which costs INR 700, and the payment can be made via online mode and offline mode. Online payment can be made through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, and offline payment through demand draft.
Offline Mode:
- Candidates who are willing to apply for the application form for NAT offline must collect the NAT application form by visiting the APIIT Campus.
- To avail of the application form, candidates must pay the stipulated application fee charges, which costs INR 700.
- Also, candidates can download the application form by logging into the official website and later take the print out of the same and fill up the details in the application form appropriately and then attach the recent passport-sized photo. A duly-filled application form should be sent through speed post for the given below address.
- Upon successful submission, candidates will receive an acknowledgment letter from the college within a week.

NAT 2021 Syllabus & Exam Pattern
NAT Exam Pattern for UG & PG Courses are almost the same, but it differs only in the syllabus. APIIT National Aptitude Test (NAT) will be conducted in online mode. The NAT examination is usually performed in June every year. Before taking up entrance exam, the aspirants should make sure the NAT 2021 Exam Pattern, such that it will be helpful for better exam preparation. Through exam pattern, candidates can get an idea about the mode of exam, type of questions, number of questions, marking scheme, and the time constraint.
- Candidates must solve 100 questions within 2 hours 30 minutes of time duration. For each correct answer, three marks will be awarded. A negative marking scheme is applicable for NAT examination. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
- Candidates applying for B Tech admission through NAT must be familiar with central concepts in Mathematics, Physics, and chemistry to score well in the exam.
- Applicants applying for MBA & BBA course must solve the general aptitude type of questions such as Quantitative Skills, Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis, and Social Economic Environment.

NAT 2021 Admit Card
After the NAT application process concludes, APIIT officials will release the NAT Admit Card 2021 on its official website through online mode. Candidates who successfully submit the application form within a prescribed last date are eligible to access the admit card by logging into the official website and must use their application number to download the APIIT NAT admit card. It contains the details about the name, exam center, venue of the exam center, examination schedule, and important guidelines about NAT.
Admit card is a significant document that needs to carry on examination day at the exam center and any ID proofs for the verification purpose. In case candidates fail to bring the admit card on exam day, the institute might disqualify them, or it may lead to the cancellation of candidature. It is important to note that admit card will not be sent via Email or Post. It will be available only through online mode on the official website.
How to download NAT 2021 Admit Card?

NAT 2021 Results & Score Card
After the NAT examination conclusion, APIIT will announce NAT's results in online mode on its official website. To check out the results, candidates can log on to the official website and download it by entering their application number, which was received during the NAT application process. The candidates should check the website oftentimes to know about the result updates.
NAT Result will be published in rank secured by the candidates and percentile of candidates, and the qualifying status. After the result's declaration, the admission authority will prepare the NAT merit list based on the candidate's score obtained in the entrance examination.

Step 2: On the home page, click on the link which states “NAT Result.”
Step 3: Then, proceed to enter the application number to view the result
Step 4: Thereafter, the NAT result will display in the form of a scorecard
Step 5: Continue to download and take the same printout for reference, and it should be submitted during the counseling session.
NAT 2021 Counselling & Admission
APIIT will release the NAT Merit List after the declaration of results, and the merit will be prepared by considering candidates' scores in the NAT examination. Thus, candidates whose names are featured in the merit list need to appear for the NAT Counselling session, which will be conducted by the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology in offline mode.
- Once the NAT merit list is declared, shortlisted candidates will be informed through Email by sending a counseling letter. It specifies the details like Counselling Venue, Reporting time, and other important instructions that the candidate needs to follow.
- Thereafter, candidates who wish to appear for the counseling session need to download the counseling letter and be required to report at the designated counseling center along with the letter.
- Once the candidates receive the Email/Counselling Letter, they must arrange all the necessary documents or submit them for verification purposes.
- The candidates should report to the designated counseling center as per the prescribed schedule to avoid future consequences.
- It is also advisable for the candidates to carry all the necessary educational documents and photocopies for verification purposes.
After the document verification process, candidates will be allotted seats. Later, the seat allotted candidates must pay the stipulated admission fees and report at the APIIT to complete other relevant procedures.
List of NAT 2021 examination centres
APIIT NAT will be held in offline mode at 15 NAT Exam Centres across India. The examination center will be allotted as per the computer system-centric process. Exam Centre will be assigned for the candidates based on a first-come, first-served basis. During the NAT registration process, candidates can choose the examination center according to their preference and convenience. It is important to note, APIIT reserves all the right to cancel the examination center at any time for unavoidable reasons.
