IIFT 2024 Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern and Syllabus

IIFT competitive exam is known for getting admissions for management courses in International Business at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, which will be held per the schedule released by the concerned authority. Therefore, students are always advised to keep a check on some of the tentative dates related to this entrance examination. Here are some of the details that the students will have to keep looking into to get updates on the schedule of IIFT 2024, which are mentioned below.

Students need to be well informed about the specified eligibility criteria by the institute before appearing for any of the entrance examinations, such that any significant events related to eligibility criteria should not be overlooked under any conditions. Before filling out the application form, applicants must go through the IIFT 2024 Eligibility Criteria. Here they should understand that once the institute committee decides that the student doesn’t fit the set criteria, the application might be eliminated at any admissions stage. There is no specified age limit for applying for this IIFT exam.  

• The Applicants can be national or foreign candidates applying for the MBA (IB) program.
• Applicants willing to join for IB program should have passed a bachelor’s degree with the relevant stream from any recognized institute.
• In this qualifying exam, candidates must be passed with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Candidates for ST/SC/PwD category should have secured a minimum of 45% marks.

Candidates must have an in-depth look into the details regarding IIFT 2024 Application Form:

As announced by the NTA committee, the IIFT 2024 Application Form will be made live and accessible from the first week of November 2023. The last due date for submitting the fee application form will be November 2023. In addition, the IIFT 2024 Application form will be made accessible online on the official website.

The application form for IIFT will be released in September 2023, and students can ensure they are registered on time to take the entrance test.

Step 1: Registration                                                                      

To fill in the IIFT 2024 application form, applicants must sign up to register and provide details such as name, contact details, email ID, choice of program, and more must be submitted. After completing registration, applicants will obtain the username and password sent to them on their enrolled contact details and email ID.

Step 2: Application filling and submission                                                       

The student should fill in all the details along with their convenient exam center and then submit the form, after which a confirmation pop-up will be displayed on the screen, and then the student should read it and accept.

The IIFT 2024 application form will be shown, and the aspirants will have to scrutinize all the details, try to modify them, and then save them.         

Step 3: Uploading Documents/ Photographs     

The submission of documents and photographs is vital while applying for IIF. The students will have to upload their scanned copy of a recent passport-size photograph and their signature in digital format as defined in the form. The attached file size that needs to be submitted should be within the given size limit in the form to be valid.

Step 4: Payment of Fees                                                                               

IIFT application fees must be paid online via debit card/ credit card or net banking. The application fee for IIFT 2024 is INR 2500/- for the general category. For the reserved category, it is INR 1000/-. For foreign candidates, INR 15000/- is refundable once transacted. The payment link for IIFT 2024 application fees will be live only after the form has been submitted, and the students can continue to pay the fees.

Step 5: Confirmation of IIFT 2024 Application                  

After the transaction of the IIFT application fee, students will get an online receipt with the contact details given by the student, which shows the completion of the registration process. The correction of the form is made available in the first week of January 2024 

Students will also get a mail on their registered email ID where they will get a document format file of the complete Application Form. Still, it is not required for the applicant to send the form to the authority once the registration is done.

While preparing to attend the IIFT 2024 competitive entrance exam, the students must be aware if there are any changes in the IIFT 2024 Exam Pattern which will help them to have complete information like the mode of examination, evaluating criteria, priority sections to concentrate on if there is any negative marking, type of questions, the total number of questions and sections, duration of exam, etc. and helps them to have a better focus on the entrance test.

IIFT 2024 is 2 hours or 120 minutes of the exam, which is accessible via online (CBT) mode exam for joining various degree courses here at the National level. Here the students will have to attend 123 questions, with each question carrying marks ranging from 5 to 1 depending on different sections of the paper. The exam paper has 4 sections to attend to with categories such as Logical Reasoning, English Comprehension, Quantitative Analysis, and General Knowledge & Awareness. This exam follows an objective type question pattern, i.e., multiple choice Question format. There is a deduction of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

IIFT 2024 Syllabus

In the syllabus for IIFT 2024, there isn’t any particular syllabus as specified by the institute, but the question paper will have questions diversified under 4 different sections as mentioned above, and the topics will be related to.

For Logical Reasoning: Topics such as Linear & Matrix Arrangements, Coding & Decoding, Visual & Critical Reasoning, Sequencing, Family Tree Problem, Cause & Effect, Symbol based Problem, etc.

For Vocabulary and Comprehension: Spellings, Word meaning match, Sentence Arrangement, Sentence Completion, Grammar, Synonyms, Phrases, Figure of Speech, Reading Comprehension, etc.

For General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Topics such as current scenarios, political, economic, sports awareness, Awards & Awardees, International Affairs, Politics, etc.

For Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis: Parentages, HCF & LCM, Vectors, Logarithm, Binomial Expansion, Venn Diagram, Number System, Ratios & Proportions, Time, Distance, Simple interest, etc.

IIFT 2024 admit card/ hall ticket will be issued to the applicants who have registered for the IIFT exam and have paid the application fees along with it. The admit cards will be published and announced on the official website of the conducting authority by the second week of January 2024 . The admit card will be mailed to the candidates on their mail ID or downloaded from the official website.

The student must log in to the IIFT website, click on the 'Admit card' link, enter their login details, and download the admit card/ hall ticket. Candidates must go through the complete information printed on the admit cards, such as the applicant's name, exam date, venue, time, and contact details. They must also add a valid photo ID proof issued by the Government of India to the exam centre. They must pin a recent passport-sized photograph on the hall ticket as they uploaded it in the IIFT application form. It is a mandatory rule for all the selected students to carry their admit cards at the examination centre. If not, the student will be restricted from taking up the examination without the admit card and any other complimenting  ID proof.

Documents Required with IIFT 2024 Admit Card             

In addition to IIFT 2024 admit card/ hall ticket, the candidate shall also carry one more valid Photo Id proof to prove their identity, such as: 

• Passport
• Driving License
• PAN Card
• Voter ID
• Aadhaar ID

The results of IIFT 2024 will be announced by the first week of February 2024 on the official website NTA. If the candidates have taken the IIFT examination, candidates can look up their results. After the result declaration, they can also obtain a merit list through the mail.

Applicants can verify their results using the exam application number and login credentials. Candidates can download the result. The result, as well as the rank list, will be published on the official website. In addition, the IIFT merit list can be viewed using the login credentials.

IIFT 2024 results and merit list includes details such as student’s name, student’s IIFT registration number, roll number of the applicant, category-wise scores along overall scores. In addition, the exam results and shortlisting of candidates are given along with the rank/ merit list on the official website as per the mentioned tentative dates.

Steps to Download IIFT 2024 Results

• Click on the ‘IIFT scorecard’ tab
• Enter your login credentials such as IIFT 2024 user ID and password

For participation in the IIFT 2024 admission or counseling process, all the eligible candidates will be shortlisted according to their merit list. Later GD and PI rounds will be organized for admission of the candidates which is usually in February/ March 2024. While that process is continued, students will have to go through the verification process of the submitted documents and certificates.  For admissions in IIFT, even the GMAT scores and Interviews will be considered for getting into MBA in IIFT only for foreign national candidates. Candidates will have to send their GMAT scorecard copy with the IIFT application form to the authority within the specified period.

IIFT 2024 Cut off will be announced based on the student’s performance in the entrance test, and their results will get released online on the official website of the institute marg. The margin percentage keeps changing depending on various reasons, and it is mandatory for applicants to outreach the margin criteria to qualify for the examination & to further participation in various processes.

The complete details of the test city will be provided on the admit card. If required, IIFT can delete or add any center. If the candidates ask for the exam center change, they have to pay a fee of Rs.500/- via DD in favor of IIFT payable in Delhi.
