SDM Institute for Management Development, Mysore was established by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Trust in 1993. It is a much-admired non-profit educational trust that administrates over 40 well-established educational institutions in Karnataka State. SDMIMD has been affiliated with the University of Mysore. Apart from PGDM, the college offers 1 year Post Graduate Certificate in Management (PGCM), which is AICTE approved. Students who have completed their graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks can apply for PGDM or PGCM. SDMIMD Mysore Admission Process comprises four stages, Applicants Shortlisting, Applicant Interview, Offer Letter, and Confirmation. SDMIMD Mysore application form will be available online on the official website.

• Applicants Shortlisting: At first, applicants will be shortlisted based on their consistent academic performance, entrance test score, extracurricular activities that include sports, theatre, fine arts, sports, and work experience.
• Applicant Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be asked to attend a personal interview. It will be held at several centers across India; the same will be mentioned in the application form.
• Offer Letter: Students will be selected based on the overall selection parameters. In contrast, the selected students will be intimated by Phone/Email/Mobile. And their admission seat will be blocked. Such students have to visit the SDMIMD Mysore campus and pay the tuition fees for 1^st year to confirm their seats.

SDMIMD Mysore placements 2019-21 batch recorded a 100% placement. Some of the highlights are given below-

• SDMIMD average package offered was 7.7 LPA.
• It has witnessed the highest package offered was 10 LPA.
• A total of 48 recruiters took part in the placement drive.
• A total of 23 new recruiters joined the final placement drive this year.
• 12 Pre-placement offers (PPO) were offered, out of which 2 were accepted.
• The top recruiters who came to the campus were Delloite, Infosys, E&Y GDS, Morgan Stanley, HDFC, Prestige, etc.
• Top placements were from the IT sector, consultancy, banking, and financial services.
