Once the results are declared, GGSIPU will begin the IPU CET 2024 counseling process. Pupils whose names are included on the rank list must attend the IPU CET counseling 2024. The counseling process involves five main steps: paying the counseling fee, IPU CET 2024 counseling registration, choosing preferences, receiving seat allotments, and confirming the assigned seat.
The University conducts multiple rounds of IPU CET counseling 2024 for shortlisted students who did not secure admission in previous rounds to fill the remaining vacant seats. The shortlisted students must bring all required documents.
In the end, the University will hold an offline spot counseling round to fill any remaining vacant seats. To participate in the IPU CET 2024 online counseling, students need to pay a participation fee of Rs. 1000/- and submit an online preference form. For IPU CET 2024 offline counseling, students must physically attend on the designated date and at the specified venue, pay the participation fees, and submit their preferences in person.
IPU CET 2024 Counselling Process

Step 1: Pay the IPU CET 2024 Counselling Fee
- To join IPU CET counseling, students need to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000.
- Students can use Net banking/Credit or Debit Cards for payment. After paying, students should print the online fee confirmation receipt. Make sure to pay the counseling fee before the last date.
Step 2: Register for the IPU CET 2024 Counselling
- After paying the counseling fee, the next step is to register.
- During registration, students will receive their Login ID and Password. Fill in the required details, verify them, and take a printout to complete the registration. If there's any issue during registration, students should contact the University's helpdesk right away with proof of fee deposit.
- To avoid a rush at the last minute, it's advisable to register as soon as possible.
Step 3: Choice filling during counseling
- Here, students must fill in the preferred colleges for seat allocation.
- Seat allocation won't proceed without filled choices.
- Students should carefully make their selections because no changes are allowed after this step. However, students will have an opportunity to modify their choices after the first round of counseling.
Step 4: Seat allotment
- After the counseling, seat allocation will occur based on students' merit, category, and filled preferences.
- Following each round of counseling, the seat allocation results will be published.
- Seat allocation depends on seat availability.
- For seat allocation, students must confirm their selection and print the provisional allotment letter.
- To secure the allotted seat, students must pay a partial academic fee of INR 40,000.
- Students who fail to report for admission will lose the opportunity to claim their allotted seat, and their paid academic fees will be forfeited.
IPU CET Spot Counselling
GGSIPU will conduct the IPU CET 2024 spot counseling process. It will be the final opportunity for aspirants to secure a seat. Only students who appear in the IPU CET 2024 entrance exam and clear it with the least qualifying marks will be eligible for the spot counseling round.
The spot counseling round, conducted by GGSIPU, will take place after the conclusion of the offline counseling rounds. Students are advised to refer to the table below to determine their eligibility for participation in the spot counseling round.
