MP PET - Madhya Pradesh Engineering Test

Madhya Pradesh-Pre Engineering Test was a state level examination organised by the Vyapam Board for admission to Engineering Colleges in Madhya Pradesh in various Government affiliated college or private colleges under various technical/professional courses like B. Tech/B. E, B. Sc, B. Pharmacy, D. Pharmacy. Vyapam had been conducting the MP-PET since 1981 and is conducted under the authority of Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, Bhopal (MPPEB)

MP PET Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates must have qualified or appeared 12th examination with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics as their main subjects under Madhya Pradesh Board or the Higher Secondary Board.
  • Candidates having higher examination or the equivalent examination qualification with science stream carried out by the recognized board or university are eligible to apply.
  • The candidates who holds final year of diploma in the Engineering discipline of MP Board of Technical Education Bhopal or from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal can also apply for the  Entrance test 2019
  • The age limit of candidate Exam 2019 should not be exceeded by 21 years and for reserved category candidates age limit is 24 years.
  • The candidate must be citizen of India.
  • The candidate should have been educated from any educational institute located in MP for 3 successive years through the 5 years duration from the examination year.
  • The candidate should be domicile of MP.
  • The candidate whose parents are retired or working employee of Government of MP or is the employee at the Government of MP and died during in the service period can apply for this exam.
  • The candidates should have cleared their JEE MAINS 2019.
  • The Admissions should be based on the both JEE MAINS 2019 and MP PET 2019.

 

MP PET Application Form & fees

  • Candidates shall submit application form only online. 
  • Application Form will most probably get displayed after the declaration of JEE (Main) 2019 results.
  • The Application Fee for the General and the OBC categories is INR 500/-. The categories SC/ST/PwD state a fee of INR 250/-. The fee can be paid either online or offline. In the online mode, Credit/Debit cards and NET Banking can be used.
  •  For the offline mode, an E-Challan has to be generated to make the cash payment from the authorized Kiosks of mponline.

MP PET Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The test consists of objective type multiple choice questions in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

  • The medium of Exam is English.
  • The entrance test will have no negative markings for wrong answers.

 Entrance exam consists of questions from basic syllabus of Higher Secondary Exam like :-

Chemistry:-

The syllabus of chemistry consists following subjects- Chemistry in Action, Bio Molecules and Biological Processes, Surface Chemistry, Synthetic and Natural Polymers, Nuclear Chemistry, Coordination Chemistry and Organs Metallics, Transition Metals including Lanthanides, Chemistry of Representative Elements, Chemistry of heavier Metals and lighter Metals, Chemistry of Non-metals, Organic Chemistry, Magnetic Effects of Currents, Purification and Characterization of Organic Compounds, Hydrocarbons, Transference of Heat, Redox Reactions and Electrochemistry, Chemical Equilibrium, Chemical Energetics and Thermodynamics, Solutions, Chemical Bonding and Molecular structure, The Solid State, Atoms, Molecules and Chemical Arithmetic, States of Matter, Elements, their Occurrence and extraction, and Atomic Structures.
 
Physics:-

Syllabus of physics includes-Solids and Semi-Conductor Devices, Atoms, Molecules and Nuclei, Electrons and Photons, Electromagnetic waves, Wave Optics, Ray Optics, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Magneto statics, Thermal and Chemical Effects of Currents, Magnetic Effects of Currents, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Heat and Thermodynamics, Oscillations, Properties of Matter, Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion and Moment of Inertia, Gravitation, and Description of Motion in one, Two and Three dimensions.
 
Mathematics:-

Syllabus of mathematics comprises the study of following topics-Trigonometry, Statistics, which includes- Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion, Probability, Vectors, Two and Three Dimensional Geometry, Calculus, Algebra consisting following topics- Sets, Relations and Functions, Sequences and Series, Matrices, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Permutations, Combinations, Binomial Theorem and Mathematical Induction.

MP PET Admit Card

Candidates can download their Admit Card from the official website.
•    Enter your Application Number / DOB and other required detail and submit it,
•    Then Your admit card will Appear on screen.

MP PET Results & Score Card

Exam result is normally declared in the second week of June

For candidates belonging to the general category must secure atleast 33% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together in PET and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together in their qualifying examination.
10% weightage is given to those candidates who have secured gold medal in the National Level sports competition, based upon their marks obtained in the admission test.

MP PET Counselling & Admission

MP BE Admission Seat allotment 2019 will be conducted online. It will be based on the ranks obtained by the candidates in JEE Main 2019 Rank List and choices opted by the candidates for colleges and engineering branches.

After participating in the seat allotment process, candidates will be required to log in and print their MP BE Admission 2019 Seat Allotment letter for getting the details of course and college allotted to them.

Candidates satisfied with their allotment must report to the college on the date specified in the allotment letter and proceed for the admission.
