Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2021 Application Form will start from the second week of February 2021. MHT CET is a common entrance test held every year and organized by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra. This is a state-level entrance exam, and students qualified in the test will be provided admission in Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy, etc. courses. Students are offered admission into private and government across the state of Maharashtra. The article provides complete details related to MHT CET 2021.

  • From the 2nd week of February 2021, the MHT CET 2021 Application Form shall be made available online.
  • Students must file the form before the last date until the 4th week of March 2021.
  • The complete application process of MHT CET 2021 will consist of various steps like Registration, filling up the application form, uploading images & documents, and making the application fee payment.
  • The candidate’s photograph and other documents must be uploaded as per the prescribed format and size in the application form.
  • While filling in the form's details, students must check and verify all the filled details are correct and then submit the form. However, there is a correction facility provided later.
  • Filling up the multiple application forms must be avoided as the board will consider only the last submitted application form.
  • Authority shall also provide an option to rectify mistakes (if any) done through the correction window while only for a limited duration.

MHT CET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to be aware of the MHT CET 2021 eligibility conditions before applying for the course. A few of the basic eligibility norms applicants need to be eligible to apply for the course include qualification, age limit, nationality, appearance, etc.

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Qualifying Exam & Marks: Applicants must have passed their 10+2 level exam securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from a recognized Board or University.

State Candidates: Candidates having domicile certificate/birth certificate/ school leaving certificate issued by Maharashtra's authority are eligible to apply.

Other State Candidates: Students with domicile certificate/ residential certificate/ DOB certificate issued by an authority other than Maharashtra are also eligible to apply.

Appearing: Students appearing for their final year qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply.

 

MHT CET 2021 Application Dates

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) will usually be conducted in May every year. However, the MHT CET 2021 registration process for the examination will start from February 2021. There is a correction window option for any correction to be made, so applicants in April 2021 shall make the changes a d submit the form. Aspirants appearing for MHT CET will have to check on the schedules regularly.

UPSEE 2021 Application Form Correction

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra opens the form correction facility on the online mode's official website. The authority facilitates the applicants with this for those who have made any errors while filling up the online application form. The exam conducting authority will provide the correction period within which candidates must rectify the corrections in the application form. Applicants need to carefully fill out the application form because further no correction facilities will be provided after the correction period's last date. Only in certain fields can corrections be made while not in all fields.

  • MHT CET 2021 correction window will be open in April 2021, while the application form 2021 will be published in January 2021.  
  • Candidates before the deadline needs to complete and submit the application form, and in case of any corrections to be made shall be done on the correction window.
  • The application form correction must be done before the mentioned last date.
  • Aspirants must use their application number, password, and security code.
  • Candidates must very carefully adjust or edit the information because, after the last date, no adjustments would be permitted.

 

How to Apply for MHT CET 2021

MHT CET 2021 Application Form will be available from February on the official site. Applicants need to follow steps that include online registration, filling up the application form, and uploading the candidate's documents, followed by application fee payment.

Step 1: Registration Process

  • Visit the MHT CET official website and seek a registration link.
  • Click on new user and enter details like candidate’s valid phone number, email ID, password, etc.
  • A unique user id and password will be sent to the registered mail ID.

Step 2: Filling up Application Form

  • Fill the MHT CET 2021 Application Form by providing the personal information, contact information, and academic details before submitting the form.
  • Also, reserved candidates must fill in the reservation information and other details.
  • Candidates are instructed to choose the Medium /Language of Question Paper very carefully before submitting the MHT CET 2021 application form.
  • The medium for the examination will be English, Marathi, Urdu for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. And Mathematics paper will only be available in the English Language.

Step 3: Uploading the Documents

  • Once the complete form is filled, upload the candidate’s passport size photograph clicked on a white background and a scanned copy of their signature.
  • The photograph size must be in the prescribed format, that is.jpg format ranging from 15kb-50 kb.
  • The signature should be scanned at 200 dpi and done with black ink, and the size format of the signature must range from 5kb-20kb.
  • Candidates have to upload one ID Proof in pdf format between 15 to 256 KB sizes only.

Step 4: MHT CET 2021 Application Fee Payment

  • The final step will be the MHT CET application fee payment, which can be done online and offline mode.
  • The application fee for MHT CET 2021 under the General category will be INR 800, while for candidates under reserved categories, the fee will be INR 600.
  • If a candidate opts for the online payment method, they will have to pay through a net banking facility or a debit card/ credit card. The offline payment can be made through an e-challan, which will be generated automatically.
  • Applicants can fill the forms in March after the application's last date with an additional late fee of INR 500.
