Calcutta University Course Admission

Depending on your course, you might need good grades or to pass an entrance exam to get into Calcutta University. Check their official website for admission info. You need to register online, fill out the Calcutta University application form, upload your documents, and pay the fee.

• B.Ed Admissions: Selection is mainly based on merit, following NCTE rules. This is based on your grades from 10th grade up to your Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• PG Admissions (MA, M.Sc, M.Com): CU is now using an entrance exam system for the 2026 school year. Before, 80% of seats were for CU students based on merit, but now the entrance test (Part B) is more important for all applicants to help with fair placements in different departments.
• Admission Dates & Admit Cards: Once the school year starts, the university will post the "Exam Schedule" and "Admit Cards" on the official website (caluniv.ac.in). Students must download these to enter the exam centres.

After the application deadline, the Calcutta University merit list will be available. If selected, you must attend the counselling process and complete the admission formalities by submitting the required documents and paying the admission fee.
