The Institute is popularly known as CIT, established in 2007, located in Kolkata, West Bengal. CIT is approved by AICTE and affiliated with WBUT. The Institute of CIT is surrounded by green environments that will make student's life better on campus. CIT encourages and nourishes the students to come up with innovative ideas. The Institute offers UG and Diploma courses with various specializations.

  • CIT offers B. Tech, B. Tech Lateral, and Diploma in Polytechnic courses with various specializations.
  • B. Tech course at CIT is offered with six disciplines with the intake of 420 students per year.
  • Students applying for B. Tech courses must have passed the 10+2 board examination with 45% marks.
  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with PCM as the main subjects.
  • The selection for the B. Tech course at CIT depends on JEE Main and WBJEE ranks.
  • The Institute offers B. Tech Lateral courses with Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
  • Students applying for B. Tech Lateral course must have passed Diploma in Engg or B.Sc with 50% marks from ACITE recognized Institute.
  • Admission for B. Tech (Lateral) courses depends on a valid rank in the JELET entrance examination.
  • The Institute offers Diploma courses in Mechanical and Civil field to the applicants who have 35% in 10th central examination.
  • CIT reserves 27% of the seats for OBC category students, and 8 to 15% seats are reserved for SC / ST candidates.
  • 90% of the B. Tech seats are filled through WBJEE entrance exams followed by counseling.  
  • Students get direct admission B. Tech courses after the counselling session.
