To get a seat at Heritage Institute of Technology (HITK) for the 2026 school year, you must go through a selection process which is run by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. After you are given a seat, you need to go to the university in person for physical verification and bring some documents, like a blood group report and a medical certificate. Admissions are given out based on a set plan which is , 80% of seats are filled based on WBJEE ranks and t10% are for JEE Main passers. The remining 10% are for Management Quota students who still need a valid entrance rank card. After you pay the fee, your records will be added to the college system, and you can access the central library and other resources right away.
The admission process at Heritage Institute of Technology for the 2026 session is entirely different depending on how students apply. Most of the students like 80% can get in through WBJEE counselling, The students who use the 10% Management Quota have a harder time. During busy admission times, the college often says there are "few seats" in popular areas like CSE and IT to get students to sign up early. One student said that fees for the Management Quota can go up to INR 16 Lakhs for popular courses. It is very expensive for those who did not do well in regular counselling, as direct admissions are expensive

The cutoff ranks for WBJEE range from 49919 to 66078, and for JEE Main, they range from 55115 to 76242. The Heritage Institute of Technology cutoff for cse was 62990 ranks.
