Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) is an autonomous institute that started in 2001 and is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The main objective of the college is to develop the aspired students as competitive professionals through appropriate technical education. HIT offers UG Courses in BE/B Tech and PG Courses in ME/M Tech & MCA.

  • The Admission procedure mainly depends on the student’s valid score in the entrance exam and aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, and 10% of seats are allocated for Management Quota.
  • Admissions for BE/B Tech will be based on Marks obtained in the 10+2 Exam, and the selection of eligible candidates will be based on WBJEE/JEE Main Entrance Exam score.
  • Admissions for ME/M Tech will be based on the marks obtained in bachelor’s degree BE /B Tech, and the selection of candidates will be based on the valid score obtained in GATE/MAKAUT Entrance Exam.
  • Admissions for MCA will be made according to the rank obtained in JECA Entrance Exam, and Candidates should be cleared bachelor’s degree BCA.

Heritage Institute of Technology BE/B Tech Admission

Heritage Institute of Technology offers UG Program BE/B Tech in 8 Specializations. Total Intake Capacity will differ for each branch CSE & ECE have 162 intake seats. Eligibility Criteria for BE/B Tech will be based on Marks obtained in the 10+2 Exam, and the selection of eligible candidates will be based on WBJEE/JEE Main Entrance Exam score.

Candidates must secure 30% aggregate marks in the 10+2 Exam. Candidates eligible for the entrance exam must attend the Counseling session with the required educational documents. Candidates selected for admission must pay the tuition fees that State Government or MAKAUT prescribes. Payment can be made through DD/Pay order, and fees must be paid before the due date.

Heritage Institute of Technology ME/M Tech Admission

Heritage Institute of Technology offers ME/M Tech courses in 7 Specializations for 2 Years. Candidates looking to take admission for ME/M Tech should qualify for the GATE Entrance Exam with a valid score or MAKAUT PGET and complete a bachelor’s degree BE/B Tech with required aggregate marks. Eligible candidates must fill out the application form and send it to MAKAUT with the prescribed fees.

Seats will be allotted based on Merit. While reporting for admission to the college, candidates must submit all the necessary educational documents for verification.

Heritage Institute of Technology offers PG Course MCA for 3 years of duration. Candidates must qualify for a bachelor’s degree BCA with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The candidates will be selected according to the valid score acquired in JECA Entrance Exam. The Intake Capacity is 60 Seats.

Heritage College is associated with MAKAUT and holds NBA, NAAC accreditation, and AICTE approval. Heritage Institute of Technology ranking nirf is 201st in India. For B. Tech admission, applicants must pass Class 12 with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) and be at least 17 years old. Selection is based on WBJEE or JEE Main scores. 80% of seats are reserved for WBJEE qualifiers, 10% for JEE Main qualifiers, and 10% under the Heritage Institute of Technology Management Quota. The cutoff ranks for WBJEE range from 49919 to 66078, and for JEE Main, they range from 55115 to 76242. The Heritage Institute of Technology cutoff for cse was 62990 ranks. Candidates must report to the institution for admission and pay the prescribed fees by the specified deadline.

HIT offers B-Tech admissions for those who have completed 10+2 with 75% with JEE Main scores. Heritage Institute of Technology's cut-off overall is 55115-202632 for the given specializations.

The basic eligibility criteria for B-Tech admissions at HIT is to have completed the board exams with a min of 45% mark with PCM subjects as mandatory. Selections will be based on JEE Main scores.
