Undergraduate (UG) Admissions 2026

1. B.Tech Admissions

Admission to the 4-year B.Tech program is governed by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • Selection: WBJEE scores followed by centralized counselling.
  • Lateral Entry: Admission to the 2nd year is available via JELET.

Can I get Admission in Calcutta University at 147k rank in JEE Mains

Basically, Calcutta University JEE Main Cutoff 2025 is expected to be around 365-3907, depending on the specializations. Thus, getting Admission with 147k rank in JEE Main is impossible.

No provision for direct admission in Calcutta University since it is a public university. Here admission is strictly based on the entrance test merit procedure.

Calcutta university has not released official notifications for the 2023 admission year. However, the University usually releases the application form in June/July month of every admission year. 

 

I want CSE ECE. What are the criteria and cut-off?

Candidates must have taken the WBJEE. After counselling, the final decision will be based on the WBJEE result. Calcutta University WBJEE Cut Off for B.Tech is 2916. Thus students who meet the put-up cut-off will be offered seats.
