Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) was started in the year 1996 located in Haldia, West Bengal. The HIT is approved under AICTE, Accredited to NBA and NAAC, and affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. HIT offers UG Program BE /B Tech in 12 Specializations, PG Course ME/M Tech in 5 Specializations, and MBA Course & MCA Course, and the Total Intake is 60 Seats.

  • Candidates must apply online for the entrance exam to take UG/PG Course admission. Application forms are available on the official site of MAKAUT.
  • Admissions for BE/B Tech will be based on the merit score obtained in WBJEE, and candidates must be secured with aggregate marks in the 10+2 Exam.
  • Admissions for ME/M Tech will be based on the valid score acquired in WB-PCET, which MAKAUT will organize, and candidates should be cleared bachelor’s degree BE/B Tech with the required aggregate marks.
  • Candidates who graduated in any bachelor’s degree stream are eligible to be admitted to MBA Program. Candidates who have secured good marks in BCA are Eligible to be admitted to MCA.
  • The selection process for MCA will be done through WB-JECA, and the selection process for MBA is done through the WB-JEMAT Entrance Exam.

Haldia Institute of Technology offers PG Course ME/M Tech for 2 years in 5 Specializations. Admissions for ME/M Tech will be based on the valid score acquired in WB-PCET, which will be organized by MAKAUT. also GATE  Exam Score is acceptable, and candidates should be cleared of bachelor’s degree BE/B Tech with required aggregate marks.
