University college of Law:Karnatak University

The University College of Law was incepted in 1992 to cater to the students' educational needs in the field of Law, and starting up this college was very beneficial to the North Karnataka Students. This has been a very reputed college for Law studies under Karnataka University's constituent. The Bar Council has approved the this university of India. This institute has outstanding faculty dedicated to carving a niche among the legal fraternity.

• At the University College of Law, the courses' admissions are conducted based on the institute level admission test in which the competition is considered too keen. The maximum intake of that institute is 60 seats; hence considering the student-teacher ratio, the college ta of only 40 students.
• There are 3 courses offered as UG programs, 1 PG programs, and two doctoral programs. University College of Law: Karnataka University programs are BA-LLB, LLB, LLM, and additionally there are Ph.D. and M.Phil are the doctoral programs.
• The Five-year program BA-LLB program in this university is offered mainly to achieve excellence and Proficiency in all facets of Legal Studies.
• Apart from the regular academic activities, the institute conducts various seminars, project works, and guest lecturers to provide outside exposure to students.
• Students must mandatorily clear the admission test at the University of Law Karnataka University after passing the 10+2 pre-university examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Students having essential eligibility criteria will be allowed to take admission and apply for the course.
• Candidates who come under the schedule caste and schedule tribe will be eligible to take up the admission test. The minimum eligibility will be to secure 45% marks in aggregate.
• University of law: Karnataka University fee structure for the courses would also be set as per the state government's guidelines and norms and considering the student’s convenience. Since the college is under the state government's management mostly, it will benefit the needy and backward students.

The institution identified the north Karnataka region students' social and economically backward classes' requirements and overall development. The university helps the students build their communication skills and gives them more opportunities to develop their personality.

Placements

• The placement cell has the view of pacing the students in the right job. They have opportunities in research, teaching, legal practice, judiciary, law officers in banks, consultancy, and legal process in any outsourcing firms.
• The college offers a student internship facility compulsory for law students. They give the students training in the moot court that is there only for their preference.
• The students are prepared by giving the students training in communication skills, personality development, and building the confidence in them to face society and the problems boldly.

Infrastructure

• The university campus is beautiful, and greenery is surrounded everywhere and spread over 750 acres of land. The college consists of a park, good gardens, and a children's park, and they have a separate department to maintain the aesthetic beauty of nature.
• The classrooms are very well-structured. They have 2 guest houses with 24 rooms, and the seminar hall can have 150 seats at a time, the auditorium is fully air-conditioned, canteen, sports facility, and gym, indoor and outdoor games.

The hostel facility is there for both boys and girls. There are 3 girls’ hostels, 3 boys’ hostels, and 1 working women hostel. The hostel has a mess which provides good food and hygienic at the same time.
