Eligibility Criteria For Admission:-

  • A Candidate will be eligible to take the Admission Test if he/she has completed the Pre-University Examination (10 + 2 level).
  • A Candidate will be eligible to take the Admission Test if he/she has completed the Pre-University Examination (10 + 2 level Examination) conducted by the Pre-University Examination Board and has secured at least 45% marks in the aggregate or possesses such other equivalent qualification as the University may prescribe.
  • Those who come under the category of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are eligible to take the Admission Test if they have secured at least 45% in the aggregate in the Pre-University Examinations.
  • Candidates, who have appeared for the Pre-University Examination and are awaiting results, may also appear for the Admission Test. Such candidates will be admitted to the Five Year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) The program only after fulfilling the conditions stipulated in these Ordinances and other conditions the University may prescribe from time to time.
  • The Candidate shall not have completed twenty years of age as of 1st July of the year of admission.
  • In the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Category I, the maximum age limit shall be twenty-two years as of 1st July of the year of admission.

Admission Procedure:-

  • Candidates seeking admission to the Five Year B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) The program will have to appear for an Admission Test designed to determine the candidate’s skill in comprehension, communication, arithmetic knowledge, aptitude for legal learning, and logical reasoning.
  • The Admission Test shall be administered by the University or any other body duly authorized by the university.
  • The duration of the Admission Test will ordinarily be two hours.
  • The University or the body authorized to administer the test may prescribe question papers, have the answer scripts assessed and prepare a list of the candidates based upon merit.
  • In respect of rural students who have passed the qualifying exam., a weightage of 5% shall be given; this will be added to the Marks obtained by the candidate taking the Admission Test before the merit list is finalized.
