Bangalore University is a state university. It was established in 1964 as an off-campus of the University of Mysore and became independent in 1973. The university has two campuses - Jnana Bharathi and Central College. There are 288 Bangalore Affiliated colleges. Bangalore University Course Admission

Candidates seeking admission to BU-affiliated colleges must ensure the eligibility criteria before seeking admission. The criteria might vary from college to college. Selection is based on academic merit and entrance tests as per the guidelines specified by the BU. Candidates seeking admission to the Bangalore University UG Courses shall have passed 10+2/HSC with the least aggregate marks. In the case of PG Courses, they shall have completed their Bachelor's.

For admission to the BE/B Tech, students must clear the KCET Entrance Test. For other UG courses, 10+2 merit determines admission. For an MBA, students must appear for PGCET or any other national-level exams. GATE scores determine admission to the M Tech.

  • Under the affiliation with Bangalore University, UVCE offers admission to the BE.
  • To become eligible, Candidates must have appeared for the relevant entrance exam, such as the KCET.
  • A merit list will be arranged based on the kcet cutoff and the eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be called for KCET counseling, where they must submit their original documents for verification and select their preferred course and college.
  • For admission to the MBA, Candidates must have a legal score in a national-level entrance exam such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or KMAT. The scorecard must be submitted along with the application form.
  • Candidates must appear for the CET conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for Bangalore University b.ed admission.

At BU, students have access to various facilities. There is a great library, a computer center, and a place to stay. Bangalore University offers MBA admissions for students who have completed graduation in any discipline with a minimum mark of 60%. For the final selections, the University will consider state and National level entrance exams like CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ KMAT/ ATMA/ Karnataka PGCET/ GMAT, etc.

Bangalore University is not an Open University. Hence, they do not offer any distance education programs.

To be eligible for Bangalore University M-Tech admissions, students must have completed their bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% without backlogs. The final selections will be based on GATE scores.

As per the selection process, the University will consider KMAT or K-PGCET entrance exam scores to shortlist the candidates. The accepted Bangalore University cut-off through KMAT is 108. 

Can I get Bangalore University BCA course details?

BCA is a 3-year UG program. It can be chosen by students who are interested in computer applications. To be eligible, they must have done 10+2 in the science stream with PCM subjects as mandatory. The accepted percentage will be a minimum of 50% or more. Selections will be made on a merit basis. No entrance exam is required for admissions.
