UPCET 2024 Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Pattern and Syllabus

UPCET 2024 Examination plan constitutes important dates, including admit card availability, application form, cut-off, answer key, result, counseling, etc. Following these, candidates will be able to prepare accordingly for the examination. The exam will be held in different slots for each of the papers.

Candidates willing to apply for UPCET need to be aware of UPCET 2024 eligibility criteria, which differ for the course you choose. The basic eligibility goes as

• Candidates applying for under-graduation courses will have to be 12th board passed.
• Candidates willing to pursue post-graduation must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Those candidates willing to get through the latest entry should have been from the relevant background.
• There is nothing as age limits any aspiring candidates can apply for the exam and are allowed to process with the admissions.
• Indian citizens and International candidates are eligible to apply for the examination.

The UPCET Application form must be filled in online on the official website of UPCET. Candidates need to follow a few steps and are advised to be aware of notifications given on the website before filling out the application form.

How to apply for UPCET?

Step 1: Registration of UPCET

• On the UPCET official website, click on the Application form for any courses.
• The application form will be displayed on the screen.
• Enter the candidate's name, DOB, mobile number, and Email ID, and create a password
• The application number will be sent to the registered phone number or e-mail.

Step 2: Fill UPCET Application Form

• Log in by using the sent UPCET application number and password.
• By filling in the qualification details like year of passing, name of the board, and percentage, go ahead to fill in personal details.
• Choose the course you want to apply to and select the exam center according to your preference.
• Carefully fill out the application form, so there are no mistakes made, and the information will be seen on the UPCET admit card.

Step 3: Upload Photograph and Signature

After filling in the personal and qualification details, candidates need to scan the passport-size photograph and signature to upload the scanned images further.

Step 4: UPCET Application Fee Payment

UPCET registration fee must be cleared online through Debit/Credit or net banking, so the fee is different for different categories. By making the payment, the UPCET application process will be closed.

Application form correction of UPCET

Before the admit card is released, a UPCET application form correction window will open for candidates to make any changes. Candidates need to log in to the UPCET website through the application number and password, and the steps go as

Only in certain fields can corrections be made. Candidates who have completed all the steps to fill out the form will be eligible for the correction procedure.

If there are changes to be made in caste category and gender, there would be variation in application fee rather than that there are no additional charges made for making other changes in the form.

UPCET 2024 Exam pattern comprises 11 papers scheduled for 3 days, and the subjects that appear in the exam will depend on the technical subject that the candidates select. Candidates need to be aware of the exam pattern and syllabus so that students can score marks in the exam.

Although there are no negative markings, based on the total number of incorrect answers made by the applicants will be recorded, and through which merit list will be prepared

Below given is the UPCET 2024 Exam Pattern:

Exam mode: The entrance exam mode is offline that is pen-paper based

Exam Duration: The duration of the exam differs for the papers

• Paper 1 and 2 – 3 hours duration
• Paper 3 – 2 hours 30 minutes
• Paper 4,5,6,7 and 8 – 2 hours duration

Type of questions: The type of question is MCQ, that is an objective type multiple choice questions

Language of the questions: Both in English and Hindi language UPCET question paper is available

Marking Scheme: There are 4 to 5 marks awarded for B.Arch for every correct answer. And there is no negative marking for an incorrect answer

In paper 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 marks per each question - 4 marks

On paper, 3 marks per each question - 5 marks

Negative Marking – no negative marking

The 11th and 12th class USPEE Syllabus for UG and PG courses will be made. Knowing the USPEE syllabus, candidates will prepare for the exam and be confident enough to appear. It is noted that candidates need to refer for the exam based on referring to the syllabus.

UPCET 2024 Admit Card will be released online on the official website. They need to download the admit card using their application number and password. Candidates can only download since no admit card is sent through post to the candidates.

On the exam day, candidates must carry the admit card, which contains the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam venue allocated according to the choice.

Only in certain cases are there chances of making corrections to the admit card. In that case, candidates will download the correct admit card from the website. Also, if candidates cannot download the admit card, they immediately need to contact UPCET authorities.

To access the UPCET 2024 result, candidates will enter )an eight-digit roll number and get their results, which will be declared through a common user interface. Results are declared online mode that is on the UPCET website. UPCET qualified candidates could meet the minimum qualifying criteria as per the board.

A merit list of candidates who qualified in the exam will be released, containing the score obtained, personal details, and a digital photograph of the candidates. There is a tie-breaking criterion applied if 2 candidates have got equal marks.

UPCET 2024 Cut-off:

The candidates must score minimum marks in UPCET to qualify for counseling and admission. Based on the category the student belongs to, the cut-off percentage differs. For general category students, it is 25% of the merit of successful candidates.

Based on the category, the UPCET cut-off is given as:

Soon after the declaration of results, UPCET 2024 counseling will be conducted, so those candidates who qualified in the entrance exam by securing good marks can process with the UPCET counseling. Once the results are declared, a merit list will be put up, and those applicants whose names are present on the UPCET merit list will be able to go ahead with the UPCET counseling. Simultaneously candidates registering for the counseling shall fill the colleges and choices as per their choice.

Students must deposit the seat confirmation fee after the allotment of seats further. To confirm their admission need to report to the allotted institute. No changes in the allotment of the colleges will be allowed once the seats are allotted and confirmed by students

When filling out the UPCET application form, candidates shall select their choice of city for writing the exam, and based on that, the city center will be allotted.

Can I know the number of seats available for candidates who belong outside UP?

10% of private colleges' seats are reserved for non-UP domicile applicants as per State Government.

I have cleared my 12th examination outside UP, but I am a UP resident. Am I eligible?

Yes, the candidate who belongs to UP can apply. But at the time of verification, one must need to produce the domicile certificate of their parents, then only they can avail the advantage of domicile applicant. 

I want to know the percentage criteria required for PCM subjects.

Eligibility Criteria Details:

• One must have qualified for their 12th standard (10+2) or its equivalent exam from a recognized board.
• Mandatory subjects: Maths and Physics with one of the subject Biology/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Technical subjects.
• Percentage criteria: 45% aggregate (for SC/ST cadre, 40% marks).
• In Eligibility criteria, there will be no upper age limit.
• Final year appearing, candidates can appear for the exam. 

Is Aadhaar Card compulsory while filling out the Application form? What if I commit mistakes while filling out the application form?

The candidates must possess an Aadhaar card number while filling up the Application form.
So make sure the candidate has an Aadhaar card.

Exam pattern Details for the Btech program:

• Paper-1 is mainly for the Btech program.
