DUET - Delhi University Entrance Exam

DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test) is an online entrance exam which will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for candidates who are looking to get admission in Under Graduate, Post Graduate, Research Programs such as Ph.D. & M.Phil. Programs which are offered at Delhi University affiliated Colleges. Candidates can fill up the DUET application through online mode by visiting the official website of Delhi University. After completing the application process candidates will receive the DUEE admit card. Delhi University offers admission on the two basis namely entrance examination based and merit based.

Candidates who are appearing for Delhi University Entrance Exam must meet the required eligibility criteria. The entrance examination will be conducted in 18 different cities and the number of examination centers is 101.The Examination Authority releases the result of the DUET on the official website of both NTA and Delhi University. DUET Merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s rank obtained in DUET. Candidates who get qualify in entrance exam must appear for DUET Counseling which will be conducted by the authority.

DUET 2021 Eligibility criteria

DUET Eligibility Criteria varies for each different Program and only the eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for Entrance Examination. The Eligibility Criteria for certain UG & PG Programs are mentioned below.

Under Graduate Programs

B Tech Course: Candidates who are willing to get admission for B Tech Course through DUET Examination, must have secured 10+2 Examination with required 60% aggregate score in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects)

BA Hons Course (Humanities and social Sciences): Candidates should have qualified in 10+2 Examination in Arts stream with required 60% aggregate score from any recognized board.

BA Hons (Multi Media and Mass Communication): Aspirants should have secured in 10+2 Examination with required 75% aggregate score Arts stream from any approved board (85% in English Subject) to get eligible.

Post Graduate Programs

LLB Course: Aspirants who are seeking to apply for LLB Program, must have qualified in bachelor’s degree with required 50% aggregate score in relevant discipline. In case if the candidates belong to SC/ST Category must obtain the aggregate score around 45% from any recognized university.

LLM Course: Candidates should have qualified in LLB Degree with required 50% aggregate score from any approved institution and for the candidates who belongs to SC/ST Category can obtain minimum 45% aggregate marks in order to apply for LLM Course

MCA Course: Aspirants who are looking to get admission for MCA through DUET Entrance Exam, should have qualified in bachelor’s degree BCA with minimum 50% aggregate score from any recognized university (Mathematics as compulsory subject).

M.Com Course: In order to apply for Master’s Degree M. Com Program, Candidates should have been graduated in bachelor’s degree in B. Com with required 50% aggregate score (40% for SC/ST Category)

M Tech Course: Applicants who have done bachelor’s degree B Tech with minimum 60% aggregate score in relevant discipline are eligible to appear for DUET Entrance Examination.

Master of Education (M.Ed.): Candidates who have qualified in Bachelor’s Degree B.Ed. Course with required 50% aggregate score from any recognized university are eligible to appear for entrance examination.

DUET 2021 Application Form & fees

Candidates who are willing to appear for Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) must apply the application form through online mode by visiting the official website of Delhi University (www.du.ac.in). The DUET application for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programs usually begins from April 1st week and it will end up by April Last week. Steps to fill up online application form are as follows.

Step 1- Registration: At first, Candidates need to visit the official website of Delhi University and must register themselves by filling up the required details such as Mobile Number, Email Id after completing registration. Login ID will be generated for each registered candidate.

Step 2- Application Form Filling: Once the login ID is created, candidates should use the login ID and Password to login the page of application form and must fill up the relevant information namely personal details and academic details and must select the desired course which the candidate want to pursue

Step-3 Upload the Documents: After filling up the mandatory details which as mentioned in the application form, candidates are required to upload the scanned images of educational documents which is mentioned below:

  • Photograph along with Signature
  • ID proof (PAN Card/Aadhar Card/ Voter ID/Passport/Identity Card (College)
  • 10th Marks Sheet
  • 12th Marks Sheet
  • Degree Certificate/Marks Sheet

Step 4- Application Fees Payment: Candidates must submit the required application fees through online mode and it can be paid by using Credit Card/Debit Card or through Net Banking. DUET application fees for Unreserved Category and OBC Category costs approximate INR 750 and for the category belongs to SC/ST/PWD (Person with Disability)/EWS costs approximate INR 300.

Step 5- Submit the application form: After Paying the required application fee as per the category wise candidates can submit the duly filled application through online by pressing the “Submit” option. Then candidates are advised to download the same application form for future reference.

DUET 2021 Syllabus & Exam Pattern

DUET Exam Pattern

The DUET exam pattern varies for different type of courses so candidates who are appearing for Delhi University Entrance Test should have the clear idea about the exam pattern of specific course which they want to pursue. The pattern of exam will help the candidates to gain complete information about the examination mode, Total Marks, Exam Duration Time, Marks which is allotted to each question, Types of question and Marking Scheme. DUET Entrance Exam will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) in the month of June.

DUET Examination will be conducted through Computer Based mode and it consist of MCQ/Objective type of questions. The Total Duration of the Examination is 2 hours and total marks of the DUET examination is 400 marks and it consist of 100 questions and for each correct answer 4 marks will be provided and there will be no negative marking. DUET Mock Test

Candidates who are appearing for DUET can access the linking by entering the required details to take up the DUET Mock Test. This will surely help the candidates to prepare for the entrance exam.

How to take MOCK Test?

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA)
  • Then click on the link “DUET Mock Test”
  • Then it will redirect to the Next Page and candidates are required to login by using the credentials namely Roll Number, Password and Pin Number
  • After the Successful Login, Candidates need to click on “Start Exam” Option
  • New page will appear, Enter the required Details
  • Then Click on the “Resume Exam” Option to take the Mock Test

DUET 2021 Admit Card

DUET admit card will be available after the completion of online application process. Admit Card is an essential identity which contains the information of Candidates Name, Examination Center Details, Roll Number/registration Number and Exam Date & Timing, Course Name, Application Number Etc. Candidates need to carry the admit card compulsory for the examination center on the examination day, without an admit card candidates are not permitted to take up Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). Candidates who have successfully registered by applying the application form along with application fees can download the DUET Admit Card by visiting the respective portal. DUET Admit card will be issued for the registered candidates through online mode only and no admit card will be sent through post.

How to download DUET Admit Card?

  • At First, Candidates need to visit the official website of Delhi University (www.du.ac.in)
  • Then Candidates needs to click on the link “DUET Admit Card “
  • Candidates required to fill up the Application form number and Date of Birth Details
  • Candidates need to click on login option and requested to login by using registered ID & Password
  • Then Admit Card will be displayed on screen
  • Download the DUET admit card which is available on screen and take the print out of it

DUET 2021 Results & Score Card

National Testing Agency will declare the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) result for all the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses in online mode and the result will be declared in both the admission portals of NTA and Delhi University website. The DUET Examination will be held usually in the month of June. Candidates can check their result by using login IDs and also candidates can download it in pdf format. DUET result will contain the information like total marks, name of candidate, roll number/register number, Form Number, All India rank, etc. Merit list will be prepared based on the score obtained in entrance examination.

The Factors which determines preparing the merit list such as Difficulty Level of the Exam, Maximum Marks attained in entrance exam, Number of Candidates attended entrance exam and the average score obtained by the candidates. Candidates who get shortlisted in DUET examination will be called for the counseling.

  • At first Candidates need to visit the official website of university (du.ac.in ) or National Testing Agency (nta.ac.in/Duet Exam)
  • Then candidates are required to click on the link “Candidate login for viewing the individual Result”
  • Candidates need to enter the required details like application number and date of birth
  • Click on the login option
  • Then DUET Result will appear on the screen display
  • Candidates can download the DUET result and can keep it for future reference

DUET 2021 Counselling & Admission

Candidates who gets qualify in Delhi University Entrance Test, required to appear for counseling process which will be conducted by the examination authority in the month of July. DUET counseling schedule will be announced after the result declaration and also it will be sent for the qualified registered candidates mail. It is mandatory for the qualified candidates to for counselling without fail to get admission for the desired course at DU affiliated colleges. To appear for DUET counselling, candidates need to register themselves by selecting the desired college and must choose the program which they want to pursue.

Once the DUET counseling fees is paid preference cannot be changed. Seat will be allotted for the candidates based on the ranking. After the seat allotment process candidates must report the allotted college and should complete the document verification process with in the stipulated time.

List of DUET 2021 examination centres

DUET exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and it will be held at 18 different cities. Candidates should choose the desired examination center while filling up the DUET application form. Examination Center will be allotted as per the candidate’s preference. On serious note once the examination center is assigned for the registered candidate will not be changed at any circumstance. Some of the documents along with printed DUET admit card are mandatory to carry for the Exam Center on the examination day namely one passport size photo, any one of the ID proof (Voter ID/Pan Card/Aadhar Card) and PWD Certificate which is issued through competent authority (If applicable)
