• For 12th pass-outs: Must have completed 12th grade from Tamil Nadu H.SC (Academic) or an equivalent recognized by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects.
• For direct admission to the second year (lateral entry), Diploma holders Should have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering/Technology from the State Board of Technical Education & Training, Tamil Nadu.
• Eligible candidates can apply through either the Jeppiaar Institute of Technology Management Quota or Government Quota.

Qualification eligibility includes:

• Passing the HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Attaining minimum marks: 45% for the General category, 40% for the Backward class, including backward class Muslims, MBC, DNC, SC, ST, and SCA.
• You must have minimum average marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry together, as well as in related subjects, Vocational theory and Practical.

Selection Criteria:

• Selection is based on counseling conducted by Anna University and JIT.
• Aggregate marks for the 10+2 qualifying exam are considered to prepare a merit list.
• Consortium of Self-Financing Professional, Arts & Sciences Colleges in Tamil Nadu prepares the rank list for Management Quota seats, while Anna University Chennai prepares it for Government Quota seats.
