R.M.D. Engineering College

R.M.D. Engineering College was established in the year 2001 in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The institute is funded and managing by the Sri Swaminatha Naidu Educational Trust. The institute is certified by ISO 9001:2008 and is accredited by AICTE, New Delhi.

Placement and training department of RMD Engineering College was established in June 2004. The cell is formed by members of the faculty, one from each of the technical departments, to coordinate with the education and placement department and to carry out programs such as the development of communication skills, personality development, skills development techniques, technical skills etc. The interaction between industry and institutions helps the student community become aware of the demand of recruiters. Few recruiters who visit the campus are Atmel India, Birla Soft India Pvt. Ltd, HCL Comnet Ltd., and IBM India Pt. Ltd etc.

The hostel facilities are provided according to the comfort and needs of the students. 2 buildings are exclusively for men and have a capacity for more than 600 students. A three floor building is available for women and has a capacity for approximately 450 students. The hostel has a kitchen that offers meals in a protected and hygienic environment, along with dining rooms for more than 1000 students
