Burdwan University is a state-owned university in West Bengal, India. It was established by the Government of West Bengal as an affiliating University in 1960. It has 6 postgraduate departments and 30 undergraduate colleges spread across three districts. It is a UGC-approved university accredited with the NAAC 'A' grade. The vice-chancellor handles the University's daily administration, and the governor appoints the government of West Bengal's recommendations.

The University offers several UG and PG education courses that lead to officially recognized degrees. Currently, it offers 30 UG and 66 PG Courses. Burdwan University is an affiliating institution with jurisdiction over districts such as Purba Bardhaman, Birbhum, and Hoogly. Burdwan University Admissions

It offers UG, PG, and doctorate programs in various disciplines. Applicants must meet certain eligibility requirements to be considered for admission. To get a degree, just fill out an online form. You need to pay a fee and give them all the documents they ask for.

• Applicants are required to appear for the WBJEE for admission to the B Tech. The seat allotment will take place through counseling.
• The bachelor's degree needed to pursue Burdwan University B.Ed. Selection is based on the admission test.
• Admission will be granted based on merit for admission to the other UG Courses such as BBA, BSC, B Com, and BA. Students shall have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks.
• Students seeking admission to Burdwan University MBA must have completed a bachelor's degree. The selection of applicants is based on MAT, followed by group discussion and Viva Voice.
• For admission to the LLM Course, students must appear for Burdwan University Entrance Exam.
• Admissions will be granted according to the Burdwan University Merit list for remaining PG Courses such as MA, MSc, M.Ed, MSW, and Mcom.
• Candidates may submit an online application using the admission portal. The authority will publish a notice about the admission dates and entrance test details.
