Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College started in 2006. It was built to serve the rural people of Dodaballapura. The college helps students grow into true healers in the field of Ayurveda. It offers strong medical training, quality education, and hands-on patient care. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It is also recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine. On top of that, it is approved by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

The campus sits on 10 acres of land. It has a 100-bed hospital, a herbal garden, a pharmacy, a canteen, and many other facilities. These match all the rules set by the governing bodies. Students here can study the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) course. The college takes in 100 students each year.

The campus is built for real learning. It has a full dissection theatre and a modern physiology lab with all the right tools and instruments. There is also a separate seminar hall for classes, talks, and events. A big highlight is the botanical garden. It spreads across 2 acres and holds more than 1,500 plants. These come from over 500 species, and some are arranged in neat theme beds.

The classrooms are large, airy, and well-lit. Each one comes with modern teaching aids, including audio-visual tools. This makes lectures and demonstrations easy to follow. The central library is a great resource for both students and teachers. It holds more than 11,000 books. You will find old manuscripts as well as the latest reference editions. Borrowing books is simple and quick. Sports matter here too. The college has a wide sports ground with all the basic equipment. This keeps students fit and active.

The pharmacy has two main parts. One section is for practical training, and the other handles bulk manufacturing. The training area can hold 50 students at a time. Here, they learn to make both herbal and herbo-mineral products. Hostel life is comfortable and safe. Separate, well-furnished hostels are available for boys and girls. Each one offers clean rooms, good hygiene, and healthy meals.
