Ashtang Ayurved Mahavidyalaya is one of the oldest colleges offering education in Ayurveda. It is located in Pune, Maharashtra. The college was started in 1936 by the Ayurved Shikshan Mandal. It is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik and recognized by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). The campus includes a hospital with out-patient and in-patient departments, a Panchakarma unit, well-equipped laboratories, a herbal garden, and extensive research facilities which together ensure academic and clinical training.
The institution offers BAMS at the undergraduate level, and MD/MS (Ayurveda) in many specializations. Admission to the BAMS programme is through NEET UG, whereas admission to MD/MS is on the basis of AIAPGET marks. Both undergraduate and postgraduate admissions in the state are done through the Maharashtra State CET Cell, while seats under All India Quota are filled through AACCC AYUSH Counselling.

The college offers MD/MS (Ayurveda) courses in various departments of Ayurveda. Admission is through AIAPGET 2026. After the examination, Maharashtra State CET Cell AYUSH PG Counselling will be done for the candidates. Those eligible for the All India Quota can also sit for counselling through AACCC AYUSH Counselling
(wherever applicable). The post-graduation academic program emphasizes clinical practice, research, and getting specialized in Ayurveda.

For admission into UG & PG courses in medical studies in Ashtang Ayurved Mahavidyalaya it is important that student must have completed 17 years of age on or before appearing for the exam plus candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate marks with physics, chemistry, biology and English as the compulsory subject from a recognised board. Candidates must appear for NEET entrance examination which is conducted online in the month of May and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks. Candidates can fill the online application form in February and the application fee is 1,500 for general/OBC and 800 for SC/ST candidates.
For admission into UG courses like BAMS in this college, it is compulsory that candidate must be Indian and must have completed the age of 17 years on or before appearing for the exam, (there is no upper age limit). Basic eligibility for admission is that, student must have passed 12th with physics, chemistry, biology and English as the compulsory subject from a recognised board with min 50% aggregate marks and student must appear for NEET entrance exam because selection for admission is made via entrance exam, and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks in order to get shortlisted for admission.
