Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya (TAMV), Pune is among India's oldest and highly reputed Ayurveda colleges. Established in 1933, the college is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and is approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). The college has a deep heritage in Ayurvedic education and is associated with a well-furnished teaching hospital, a Panchakarma centre, a herbal garden, research laboratories, and a team of highly skilled faculty members.
At the undergraduate level, the college provides a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree, and at the postgraduate level, MD/MS (Ayurveda) in different branches. Admission to the bachelor's degree is through NEET UG. Admission for M.D./M.S. is based on AIAPGET scores. UG and PG admissions are conducted through the Maharashtra State CET Cell, while 15% All India Quota seats are allotted through AACCC AYUSH Counselling. The college offers a total of 125 BAMS seats along with various postgraduate programs in Ayurveda.

Admission to the BAMS programme is based on the scores of NEET UG 2026 followed by Maharashtra AYUSH Counselling conducted by the State CET Cell. Duration of BAMS course is of 5.5 years out of which 4.5 years are for academic study, and one year is dedicated to compulsory rotatory internship

Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya Admission criteria for Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine science include: The candidate should have passed their 12th standard in science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned state government and education boards with at least 50% aggregate marks in subjects of Physics, chemistry and biology. The candidate should also have taken the entrance test like the NEET. The score secured in the NEET will play a vital role in the selection of the candidate. The selected candidate will have to pay up their first installment fee before the commencement of the first semester. The candidates are intimated by displaying their names on the notice board of the college.
Selection for admissions in this college is made on the basis of score in national level entrance examinations. For admission basic eligibility that is mandatory is that, candidate must have completed 12th with at least 50% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category) with physics, chemistry, biology and English as the compulsory subject from a recognised board. For BAMS candidates can appear for NEET entrance examination. NEET is all India level entrance examination which is conducted online mostly in the month of May and the online application form to be filled are released in 1st week of February. Fees structures for courses in this college are feasible.
