Dr.B.R.K.R. Government Ayurvedic College, Hyderabad is one of the oldest government Ayurveda Colleges in Telangana, and most prestigious too. The foundation of the college was laid in 1935, and now it is affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal as well as being approved by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). Besides providing excellent Ayurvedic education and clinical training through their attached Government Ayurvedic Hospital, well-equipped laboratories, Panchakarma unit, herbal garden, and research facilities are also present physically. 

Taking the NEET UG is a prerequisite for getting admission into BAMS, whereas the admissions to PG courses are done by the rank secured in the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). The UG admissions are done through Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences Telangana AYUSH Counselling, while 15% of the seats belonging to All India Quota (AIQ) are filled through AACCC AYUSH Counselling. At present, the college has 63 BAMS seats.

Admission to BAMS Programme is based on NEET UG 2026 followed by KNRUHS Telangana AYUSH Counselling. Candidates seeking admission under the 15% All India Quota must participate in AACCC AYUSH Counselling. 

Eligibility – BAMS

• Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as main subjects
• Must have obtained 50% marks in theory and practical both in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)  taken together for general category candidates.
• Forty percent (40%) marks in PCB for the reserved categories of candidates
• The minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years on or before 31 December 2026
• Must pass NEET UG 2026.
