AMIE - Associate Membership Of Institute Of Engineers Exam

AMIE (Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers) is the qualifying exam for obtaining professional certification as provided by the Institution of Engineers in India. The exam is held twice a year in the months of June and December respectively. The applicants can participate in the concerned entrance exam by qualifying in the all the papers as specified for this purpose.

The AMIE Exam is recognized by the Ministry of HRD (Human Resource Development) Government of India, UK- NARIC as a British UG Degree and Foreign Credential Service of America as a South America UG Degree respectively.

August 22 to September 19, 2018 .

Candidates appeared Summer 2016 exam

September 19 to October 24, 2018 

Candidates who applied, but not attended Summer 2018 exam

August 22 to September 19, 2018 .

AMIE Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants should have passed Diploma in Polytechnic or any other equivalent degree in the different branches of engineering.
  • Candidates must have 12th /HSC/PDC with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with minimum 45% marks.
  • Candidates who are joining as a lateral entry must have a diploma of 3 years from a recognized board or university.

AMIE Application Form & fees

Logon to official website www.ieindia.org and download the exam form and take a printout.

  • Examination fee is Rs.2000/- for appearing in any centres in India and 150 USD, outside India.
  • Draw DD for examination. The demand draft must be drawn in favour of "The Institution of Engineers (India)" payable at Kolkata. 
  • Write your ST/T number and name on the reverse side of DD. 
  • Choose your preferred examination centre and note down the code number of that centre.

AMIE Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The AMIE Exam shall be held in two main sections :
Section I: is for the Non- Diploma Stream of candidates
Section II: is for the Diploma Stream of candidates.

The paper will be comprises of the questions that belong to the subjects in the relative trade

Section A exam: This exam is common and for those want to become engineers through AMIE (I). Engineering Science, Basic Sciences, as well as communication covered for making preparation of the candidate. Once the project work is done, candidate can move to section B through selection of the specific discipline from the offered streams

Section B Exam: Once done with section A, the student need to get done with the project work for one year and based on the professional ability, report will be will provided for section B. There will be ten papers comprises of 7 which are mandatory as core subjects and 3 are in the optional category.

Applicants can download the hall tickets from website about one week prior to examination and get the print out of the same

AMIE Results & Score Card

Once the examination of two parts is completed, that is after the project is submitted then the results of this exam will be announced. 
You will get the results on the official website at www.ieindia.org
Here you have to enter all the necessary details and submit it
After submitting the details your result will appear on screen.
