JEE Main 2022 Exam Changes

JEE Main 2022 has introduced many changes; read here to know what's new?

As per the latest update by NTA, the phase 1 exam dates of JEE Main 2022 were announced and is scheduled from April 16 to 21, 2022. The registrations for phase 1 is available from March 01, 2022, to March 31, 2022. The second phase of JEE Main will be held from May 24 to 29, 2022. Besides announcing exam dates, NTA has introduced some changes in JEE Main Exam.

Below are the few changes listed by the authority in JEE Main 2022. 

• A major change in the JEE Main 2022 is they are conducted only twice a year ( April/ May), unlike before, which was conducted four times a year. 
• The JEE main application process comprises three smaller sections registration, application form and fees payment. 
• There is an option with mobile notification and email verification for the registered JEE main 2022 candidates. In the registration process for JEE main 2022, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number, and before the payment of the fee, an OTP for email will be sent by the exam authority for verification. 
•  No correction facility will be provided to the students under any circumstances to make changes in the JEE main application form. 
• Parents' income details are added in the JEE main application form, and it is mandatory to fill in the detail. 
• The candidates can choose their exam city while filling out the JEE Main 2022.  
• The exam authority will cross-check the candidate's photograph in real-time while filling the form of JEE main 2022 itself. 
• The negative marking in JEE main 2022 is declared for sections A and B, where 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. 
• Voluntarily, the Aadhar card details must be added to the JEE main application form 2022. As a new feature, candidates can download their confirmation page, admit card, scorecard of JEE main 2022 from UMANG and Digilocker. 
• As declared by NTA, a scribe will be available while taking up JEE main 2022.
