MT CET (Maharastra Common Entrance Test ) was the annual entrance exam conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra Government was providing admissions to the various engineering courses.
MT CET has been scrapped and engineering aspirants of Maharashtra have been directed to apply for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) from the year 2014 onwards. Candidates who score a positive score in JEE Main are eligible to apply if they meet the other criteria for the admissions to the first year engineering courses in Maharashtra. Admissions will be through the Maharashtra Common Admission Process also called as CAP.
