Kerala's Thrissur district is home to the self-supporting engineering college Vidya Academy of Science & Technology. The College was founded in 2003, and the Vidya International Charitable Trust administrates it. VAST is a state of art engineering college offering education at par with international standards. VAST Thrissur is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Within a short period, VAST has emerged as a notable engineering college for its academic excellence, infrastructure, high technology teaching aids, and competent faculty.

Vidya Academy Thrissur Courses are offered in Engineering and Computer Application disciplines at UG and PG levels. B Tech is available in Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical, with an annual intake varying from 60-120 per branch. VAST offers admission to the M Tech in CSE, Structural Engg, and Embedded Systems at the PG level. Besides, it offers MCA an annual intake of 60 seats. Vidya Academy of Science & Technology Fees Structure for B Tech is INR 1.09 L. The annual cost for M Tech is 1.27 Lakhs. Candidates enrolling for MCA must pay around INR 66k per annum. Diploma holders are also entitled to apply for B Tech Lateral Entry admission. The annual cost for B Tech Lateral is INR 1.04 Lakhs.

VAST Thrissur Admission is based on an entrance test followed by counseling. Candidates who have passed the 12^th examination in the state of Kerala with PCM as optional subjects, with a minimum of 50%, are eligible for admission to the B Tech. Students also need to appear for KEAM Entrance Exam at the State level. Candidates must pass KEAM  to be admitted to Kerala's numerous undergraduate engineering institutes. To be eligible for Govt quota, applicants' KEAM rank should be equivalent to the Vidya Academy of Science & Technology cutoff scores.

50% of seats are indicated for Govt quota through counseling sessions conducted by the State Govt of Kerala. The remaining 50% of seats are reserved for the Vidya Academy of Science & Technology Management Quota and NRI Quota. The college authority will handle the admission process for Management seats. Applicants must submit the VAST application form online through its official website. In contrast, the selection of the candidates is based on merit. Though applicants are not satisfied cut off, at least they shall have attempted KEAM or JEE Main to be eligible for the management quota. The application cost is 500 INR.

Admission to M Tech is based on GATE scores. Admission Seeker must have completed their graduation with an average of 60%. Students applying for MCA admission must pass the entrance test conducted by Kerala Govt. Out of 60 MCA seats, 30 seats are allotted under Govt quota. The remaining 30 seats are applicable for the Management quota.

The Vidya Academy of Science & Technology Thrissur Campus is situated in Kerala's Thalakkottukara region, close to the Thrissur district. The 30 acres of land that make up the college campus are beautifully landscaped and surrounded by lush greenery. The Vidya Academy has a good infrastructure with all the necessary amenities, including well-equipped labs and workshops, roomy classrooms with adequate ventilation, a computer lab with internet access, separate dormitories for boys and girls, a central library with a sizable collection of books and journals, a canteen and mess area, and more.
