Coimbatore Institute of Technology is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and it was founded in the year 1956. The institute gained autonomous grades in 1987, affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. Institute offers Under Graduate courses in BE/B Tech, Post Graduate courses in ME/M Tech, and M.Sc., and the other institute offers Ph.D. programs for aspirants. The duration of the Under Graduate Course is 4 years, and Post Graduate Course is 2 years.

 The institute also provides part-time degree programs in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, and Civil engineering, which will be 3.5 years.

CIT Admission Process ME/M Tech

Candidates seeking admission for ME/M Tech must be qualified in Undergraduate Course BE/B Tech with an aggregate of 50% and a valid score in the Entrance Exam, known as TANCET, which Anna University, Chennai organizes.

• The TANCET exam will be conducted offline, and counseling is also conducted at the state level for the students. Students must attend counseling with relevant educational documents.
• Counseling fees can be paid through DD/Cash. Fees for the general category are approximately INR 5,300 for General Categories and for backward classes INR 1,150.

CIT Admission Process for MCA and M.Sc.

• Candidates seeking MCA admission in college should be qualified in Bachelor’s degree BCA with aggregate 50% Marks and reserved category 45%.
• Candidates who are seeking admission in M.Sc. should be qualified with Bachelor’s degree B.Sc. or passed in HSC(Physics, Chemistry, Math)
