Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) is an autonomous institute founded in the year 1998 located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The College is affiliated with Anna University. MCET offers UG Course BE /B Tech and PG Course ME/M Tech & MCA in diverse specializations and also offers a doctoral program in Ph.D.

• Admissions for BE/B Tech are made through the valid rank obtained in TNEA Entrance Exam, which Anna University will organize. Also, candidates must be eligible with minimum aggregate marks in the 10+2 Examination.
• Admissions for ME/M Tech are done through the valid score obtained in TANCET Entrance Exam and must be completed BE/B Tech bachelor’s Degree. Eligible candidates must appear for TANCA Counseling with the necessary documents. Admissions for MCA are made through the aggregate marks obtained in BCA Bachelor’s Degree.

Candidates looking to get admission must be eligible with minimum aggregate marks in the 10+2 Exam (PCM). Eligible candidates must appear for TNEA Entrance Exam and must secure a good rank. Qualified Candidates must appear for TNEA Counseling with relevant educational certificates, and Anna University will organize it. Priority will be provided for the aspirants who have secured well in HSC Exam.

Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology offers PG Course in ME/M Tech in 5 Specializations and MCA Course. Candidates looking to get admission for ME/M Tech must be graduated from BE/B Tech with required aggregate marks and secure a valid score in TANCET Entrance Exam, which Anna University will organize.

TANCET Exams will be arranged in offline Mode, and counseling will be held in April and counseling fees are INR 5,300 for General Categories and INR 1,150 for reserved categories such as SC/ST.

Candidates looking to get admission for MCA should be eligible for a bachelor’s degree BCA from a renowned university, and the selection process is done merit-based.

Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology offers Doctoral Program in Ph.D. in Four Specializations. Candidates looking to get admission for Ph.D. will be based on the marks obtained in Master’s Degree and selection procedure of candidates will be done through GATE/UGC/CSIR-NET Valid Score and also based on written test and Personal Interview which the institute will organize.
