Star Lion College of Engineering and Technology also known as SLCET, Thanjavur which came into existence in the year 2010 located in Tamil Nadu. The SLCET is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved under AICTE .Institute was formed by Sri Sriramulu Educational & Public Charitable Trust with the objective to promote higher technical education in the remote areas of Tamil Nadu State. The Campus area of college is 13 Acres of Land and surrounded by greenery.

• SLCET offers Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and also offers Master’s Degree ME/M Tech in Manufacturing Engineering and Structural Engineering

• SLCET BE/B Tech fees structure is INR 3.48 Lakhs for four years of duration and fees structure for ME/M Tech is INR 60,000 for two years of duration
• The Major vision of the institute is to provide superior practical education with corporate applications for advance learning and also to train the potentials of leadership, morality, commitment practices among students towards candidates to become successful technocrats
• SLCET Admissions for ME/M Tech will be based on the score acquired in TANCET Entrance Exam and Candidates must be graduated in bachelor’s degree and admissions for BE/B Tech will be based on TNEA Counseling and candidates must have passed in 10+2 Exam
• 65% seats are allocated for Government quota and remaining 35 % seats are allocated for Management Quota.
• SLCET Placement Cell organizes group discussions, mock interviews, pre-placement talk and other industry oriented activities as a part of career guidance & personality enhancement. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment process
