P. R. ENGINEERING COLLEGE was founded in 2000 under the benevolent name of "Sri Ponnaiyah Ramajayathammal Educational and Charitable Trust" (SPRECT) .P.R. Engineering institute is accredited by AICTE and affiliated with Chennai, Anna University. The Engineering College has beautiful environment and is located in a clean, lush and green environment, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, around 11km from the city of Thanjavur. The institution motto is "QUALITY AND DISCIPLINE". The P. R. ENGINEERING COLLEGE covers an area of ??11.52 hectares. • The PR Engineering College offers six undergraduate courses and two postgraduate courses. It offers Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Information Technology (IT), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Master of Engineering and Master of Computer Application (MCA) has PG courses.
