Eligibility Criteria/Cut-off for Admissions 2020

Sastra University has been recognized Deemed University in Tamil Nadu.Sastra University offers academic programs at both UG and PG level here is the admission procedure of it:

Sastra University has all the UG courses of 4/3 years, PG courses are 2 years of four semesters. The programs offered at Sastra University are mentioned below:

B.TECH Eligibility Criteria at Sastra University:

  • Here the candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks and 55% For SC/ST
  • And should have the combined of 3 subjects Physics, Mathematics and any 1 subject out of Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • Here the candidate of both General and SC/ST should have secured an aggregate mark the in JEE MAIN.
  • Based on JEE MAIN the further admission procedure is carried in Sastra University

M.TECH Eligibility Criteria Sastra University:

  • The candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60%
  • The SC/ST candidate should have min 55% marks in aggregate from govt. approved university with relevant subjects.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • The aspirants should have a valid GATE score in respective discipline
  • And the first preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates

M.B.A Eligibility Criteria Sastra University:

  • The candidate should have Graduate Degree in any discipline with 50% in aggregate marks or CGPA.
  • The SC/ST candidate should have min 45% marks in aggregate from govt. approved university with relevant subjects

ADMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Here the admission shall be made on the basis of: CAT/AIMAT/AICAT. Entrance Exam.
  • And the Final selection will be based on Entrance Exam Score, Group Interaction and performance in Personal Interview

B.SC/B.COM/BCA Eligibility Criteria Sastra University:

  • Here the Aspirant should have passed 10+2 with a central/state board of examination which is recognized by the discipline of the study of SASTRA University

ADMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Here the Admission is strictly based on Merit only.

BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB Eligibility Criteria Sastra University:

  • Here the candidate must have passed 12th or equivalent examinations with English as a mandatory subject from a recognized institute.
  • And the candidate must have scored a min. score 50% in 12th examinations.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Here the Preference is given to the candidates who cleared CLAT exam.

  • Admissions are based only on merit and only tuition fees will have to be paid by the candidates. 
  • The Admission will be done by the office of Admissions of SASTRA.
  • The Admission will be either by following normalization for 30% of the seats or by JEE Main + normalized + 2 for the remaining 70%.

Hi, the basic criteria are to have 50% aggregate in your intermediate and JEE score should be little high in order to get admissions. If the 60+ in JEE main you will manage to get admissions.

Hi, candidates should have at least appeared for JEE Main to get eligibility and take admissions it is easy to get in if the JEE Main score is great. As the admission is based on merit and entrance exam candidates should have valid marks to get eligibility.

Hi,

  • Sastra University takes admissions on the basis of 10+2 score basically where 70% of the seats are filled through JEE Main score and 12th aggregate. Students will be shortlisted for admissions in engineering courses based on the following criteria given below 
  • This students list for admissions will be prepared by college itself by taking 75% of your 12thboard where one must have at least 60% aggregate and 25% of JEE score in to consideration.
  • 30% of seats are filled on the basis of 10+2 board marks only. For this criterion one must have secured above 95% in order to get admissions.

Hi, B.Tech admissions will take place based on merit for 70% seats candidate must be passed out in 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in PCM. Also based on JEE main score the admissions to the course will be taken. The admission has started from the month of March 2019 and will be held till the mid of June 2019.

Admission for B.Tech (lateral entry) at Sastra University:

  • For admission at Sastra University candidate should have completed diploma in engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. 
  • Candidates with the above mentioned criteria are supposed to attain a valid score in entrance examination for admission.

In order to take admission you have to clear this entrance exam

  • Here the 70% seats are filled through university level counselling based on marks obtained in class 10+2
  • And also from the rank obtained in JEE Mains.

And the Selection parameter and weightages are:

  • For 10+2 marks - 30%
  • And for JEE Mains - 70%
  • And the Remaining 30% seats are filled by the university based on the marks obtained in class 10+2.

*So you have to take up the entrance exam.

Other fees of 17,000/- will be paid once at the time of admission.

There will be 5% annual increase in tuition fee from 2nd year onwards.
