Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), established in 2005, is an autonomous college located in Shimoga, Karnataka. It is affiliated with RGUHS and recognized by the MCI. For admission to the MBBS in Shimoga Medical College, Applicants must have passed 10+2/HSC with PCB from a recognized board with an aggregate of 50% marks. They Must have a valid score in NEET UG. This is the institute which is under the state government and is a famous medical college in the Shimoga district. This is institute is built with the vision to offer best services in teaching and treating. It is having the campus of the 25 acres land and is also under the government management. It was actually started in the year 2005 and is located in a pollution free area. The total medical college campus includes college, hostels for both boys and girls, quarters for the doctors and many more things. The government Mc. Gann Hopistal is the teaching hospital which was actually constructed by the British. This college is fully equipped with the museums, examination halls, auditorium, laboratories, and library and lecture halls.
Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences familiarly known as SIMS, Shimoga and the college was established in the year 2005 and it is affiliated to RGUHS and approved under MCI. The college campus area is spread over 50 acres of land. Students gets admission in SIMS based on merit list of NEET 85% reserved for state Quota and remaining 15 % is for all India Quota. SIMS fee structure for MBBS course costs approximate 67,000 for 1st year and from 2nd year onwards I paid the fee around 51,000 hence for the entire course duration fee costs around 2.2 Lakhs hence fee is feasible to pay.
In Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, Diploma, UG (MBBS) and PG (MS and MD) courses are offered where the total intake for MBBS course is 100 and others course I am not sure it may be around 10 altogether. I completed my MBBS and the admission was taken through NEET counselling basis. Institute has excellent reputation like it was rated nearly 4.5 out of 5. It had approved by MCI and the complete syllabus is as per RGUHS. SIMS also offers best placement opportunities before that workshops are arranged and even hospital visits are provided to us. MBBS course fee is feasible and even scholarship amount is issued for very needy candidates.
