Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences

Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), established in 2005, is an autonomous college located in Shimoga, Karnataka. It is affiliated with RGUHS and recognized by the MCI. SIMS offers a range of UG and PG programs. These include MBBS courses at the UG level and MD, MS, and Diploma courses at the PG level. Additionally, the institute provides admission to B.Sc courses in paramedical sciences.

Admission to all programs is based on NEET UG and NEET PG scores, followed by counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) at the state level and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at the All India level. 85% of seats are kept for the state quota, and the remaining 15% is for the All India Quota.

For admission to the MBBS in Shimoga Medical College,  Applicants must have passed 10+2/HSC with PCB from a recognized board with an aggregate of 50% marks. They Must have a valid score in NEET UG. In addition, they must satisfy the NEET Cutoff. Seat allotment will take place through State level KEA and All India counseling by NMC. Shimoga Medical College cutoff is 10634 (NEET)
