For taking admission in MBBS we must actually write the NEET and presently we have get the eligibility for medical course only through NEET but previously we could also write the state level entrance test like COMEDK. I also appeared for the NEET and got a rank. With that I ranked I appeared for the counselling in which I got assigned with the seat in this college. Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences cut-off marks are 2924-7504 which students belonging to general category must obtain to get admission here. I had to pay Rs. 1000 as the application form as per the college rules.
The only way of admission to Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences for MBBS programme is through score / marks that are obtained in NEET examination. If at all the MBBS seats are left then the admission is through management based (direct based). The advantage of taking MBBS admission in this institute is affordable course fee, it is cost around INR 68thousand rupees yearly and no other medical institute will offer MBBS at this cost. Admission also includes group discussion round, document verification round and personal interaction round. Course curriculum followed is RGUHS norms and the admission process also includes the norms of MCI.
I have pursued my MBBS at SIMS, here are some useful insights into SIMS admissions process. Basically, Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences admissions are carried off at the college.
