School of Maritime Studies

School of Maritime Studies was established in the year 1992 located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Institute belongs to Vels University and commanded by Captain Superintendent. The courses at the Maritime Studies are accompanied by Director & highly qualified Professors who were Mariners before & Instructors who have several years of experience on ashore and train the future navigators & naval engineers. The courses also organize the applicants to track a best career in transport corporations or shipping linked ashore.

• The institute has a Bridge Emulator from Kongsberg. This emulator is useful to train/teach directing cadets in actual time on board ship

• The course which is offered by this institute is B.Sc. Nautical Science which is approved by the directorate & Ministry of shipment Govt of India.
