Adithya Institute of Technology was established by the trust called Adithya Education Trust in 2008 to cater to comprehensive technological education for the growing number of young students. The institute is affiliated with the Anna University of Coimbatore and approved by AICTE in New Delhi. It is located 12km far from Coimbatore City and 9km from Coimbatore Civil Aerodrome. The institute aims to develop a Centre of Fineness in different knowledge provinces of engineering.

Adithya Institute of Technology offers B Tech at the UG level and MBA & M Tech at the UG level. Admission at AIT Coimbatore is based on merit and entrance exam marks. Students seeking to apply for admission at AIT must meet the college's eligibility norms.

• AIT offers full-time B Tech in six branches. They are ECE, Civil, EEE, CSE, IT and Mechanical.
• For admission to the B Tech in AIT, candidates must pass 10+2 with at least 45% marks. At the same time, selection criteria are based on TNEA valid Rank followed by TNEA counselling. TNEA rank list is prepared by considering 10+2 aggregate marks.
• M Tech at Aditya Institute is available in five branches. The annual intake is 18 seats.
• Students willing to apply for M Tech admission at AIT must have a valid GATE score. In addition, students must obtain above 50% aggregate marks at the UG level.
• AIT provides admission to the MBA in five specializations. They are Finance, HR, Marketing, Production and System Management
• MBA admission at AIT is based on entrance exam marks. Students who have obtained valid scores in the TANCET exam can apply for MBA. Most importantly, the score must be equivalent to AIT's cut-off standards.
• AIT Coimbatore TANCET cut-off for MBA is 33 in general. Cut-off scores vary for each different category. Applicants must make sure of the cut-off criteria before applying.

• B Tech fees in AIT Coimbatore cost approx. INR 50,000 per year. Thus, the four-year fees expense up to INR 2 Lakhs.
• Course fees for M Tech in AIT cost nearly INR 1 Lakh for two years. At the same time, fees for the MBA program cost around 70k for two years.

Since 2008, the Placement Cell has been functioning at AIT Coimbatore. The placement team provides the best assistance to the final year students.
